MSI NF2|K7N2G-ILSR 6570G-020 Retail:
The reason I think the price may be in error is that, while the M/B comes up under Newegg's new search routine (search for nForce2 IGP) in the AMD M/B section, it is not really identified as having the nForce2 chipset.

This is the long awaited ILSR version with the Integrated Graphics Processor (IGP) on board.

Regardless...this is a very hot price for a loaded deluxe M/B with the IGP+MCP2-T IMHO.:D:D:D

What do you think?

If this is already on the AT system, I apologize in advance for the dupe. :DSo, no flames, please.

Edit: doesn't look like it is misspriced.

Whoops! Mwave also has this for $123

Edit...Looking at it again, it is hard to tell if this has the ILSR configuration. So don't rush out and order this until it can be established one way or another.
does it have all the same stuff as the baord at neweggs?
Thanks to dirtymouth (or is it dirtya$$?) for asking this question ? it is a good one that I can't answer other than to say it doesn't appear to be the equivalent of the Newegg offering.

Why make a top-of the line board w/o DVI?
Makes it no go for my LCD
I was going to place the no DVI in the original post but forgot that I had noticed that factor on both the pics on Newegg site & the mfgr site.:(

anyone know if Asus is going to make a A7n8x deluxe model (onboard audio/lan/firewire) with also onboard video like this one? that would be a killer deal for me. I want that all in one mobo :) vid/sound/firewire/usb/agp8x for when i save up for the 9700 pro or new gf fx

Looks like a SWEET BOARD!! I have a GF3 Ti200 currently. I see from the board specs: Slots:1x AGP (1.5v 8X/4X) 5 PCI (3.3v) and 1 ACR

I know the AGP specs are not necessarily backwards compatible like PCI is. It seems like the gf3ti200 is agp 4x/2x, so I shouldn't have any problems running it if I wanted to rather than the built-in IGP, right? And would the IGP be about the same, or slightly less powerful, or what??

Also any ideas if I could run both gf3 and IGP at the same time, like I currently do with gf3 + pci tnt2? Or no such luck?

the nforce2 IGP is said to perform better than GF4MX420 but not as good as GF4MX440. considering that a GF3Ti200 performs better than any GF4MX, i would say that you are going to take a performance hit going to the IGP. also remember that the GF4MX line does not have hardware DirectX 8 support, let alone DX9. the GF3Ti200, while it is technically older than the GF4MX, is more advanced with hardware DX8 support. i decided to stick with my GF3Ti200 with my nForce2 mobo because my video card has TV-out and DVI while the IGP offering do not offer the DVI. in the past, shuttle with their SS51 offered a AGP card that had DVI and TV-out--maybe MSI will make a card that does this too. put for the time being, i'm staying with my GF3Ti200.

I would prob just keep the GF3ti200 installed, just wanted to make sure it made sense.

Here's a good review of this motherboard:
hardwarezone link

From the review: "Basic motherboards would only be equipped with VGA output at the rear ATX I/O panel. DVI and TV-Output would usually be offered via an optional add-on card that uses the AGP slot. " I agree -- perhaps they will come out with DVI add-on at some point ??

From the picture, the gpu heatsink/fan is awfully close to the cpu.
I don't know this board but it looks like it will be hard to put some heansink/fans on top of the cpu!

Other than that, the mobo looks nice. (very colorful)

RE:"the nforce2 IGP is said to perform better than GF4MX420 but not as good as GF4MX440. "

Thanks, how does this compare to the 220 and 420 of the nforce1 chipset?

I am thinking about getting this and a LCD monitor.. do you have to have DVI output for a LCD monitor? I am confused. Because if you do.. then that just ruins my plans!! ARRGG!

The IGP in the nForce 1 chipset is roughly equivalent to a GF2 MX.

What about a DVI to analog convertor? also do all LCD monitors have a analog input? or just some?

monster8, no you don't have to have dvi for all lcd's in fact most are "analog" inputs which
means standard 15 pin vga cable, so yes you could hook an lcd to this board, plus usually only the more $$ lcd's have dvi inputs anyway, check your specs on the panel you want and look for analog connector interface or both :)
