The X-Box wont be emulated anytime soon simply because the DVD format they use is similar to the GD-ROM format that Sega used. So far, it can't be easily read like a Sony PS2 disc. If you can't read the game data, you can't use an emulator to play the games, simple as that. I'm not saying it won't be done, I'm just saying I don't think it will happen very soon (like in the next few months).
$245.00 is a really hot deal for the X-Box, especially considering it just came out. The sheer amount of features included with the X-Box (hard drive, DD5.1, Ethernet) should make this a steal assuming that games will support the features (although the hard drive and DD5.1 features have been pretty well supported in launch games).
