I noticed that my stick of Crucial PC133 CL2 was running very hot at 155 fsb, so I ordered the Thermaltake kit (actually, I was more interested in the heatsinks for my GeForce2 Pro). After I put the heat-spreaders on the SDRAM, I noticed that the spreaders get VERY hot--too hot to touch with the back of my finger.
I'm not having any problems so far, and technically the spreaders are supposed to draw the heat out of the chips and spread it over a greater surface area, but should it get so hot?
Anyone who is using the heat-spreaders, please let me know what temps you are experiencing, and whether you've had any problems.
