I used to have NextCard but finally cancelled it two months ago because they don't offer cometitive APR and the credit line is too low (just $1,000). I was surprised when I called for closing my account, I wasn't transferred to any account managers to gimme BS and persuade me not to close my account. I was just told, "Effective today, your account is closed!"...
Low Price Guarantee - Program Details
If,
within 24 hours of making an online purchase with a NextCard® credit card using the NextCard GoShopping tool (hereinafter referred to as "Original Purchase"), you find an identical product advertised at a lower price online (hereinafter referred to as "Comparison Product"), NextCard will refund the difference between the amount paid for the Original Purchase and the price listed for the Comparison Product
In order to be covered by their so-called "NextCard Low Price Guarantee", requests must meet all of the following conditions:
1. Original Purchase price must be found directly through NextCard GoShopping! To use the GoShopping tool, visit
https://my.nextcard.com, and click on the "Shopping" tab.
2. Original Purchase must be made at the lowest price listed by the NextCard GoShopping! Tool "Shop for the Best Price"
3. Original Purchase must be made using your NextCard credit card account.
4. Comparison Products must be listed at online retail websites. Comparison Products do not include those products found through auction or group aggregation sites.
5. Original Purchases and Comparison Products must be new merchandise, available for purchase with a manufacturer's warranty and in a factory sealed box.
6. Original Purchase price means the price paid for the Original Purchase excluding taxes, service charges, shipping and handling.
7. Comparison Product price means the listed price for the Comparison Product at a qualified website, excluding taxes, service charges, shipping and handling.
8. The Original Purchase and Comparison Product must be for the identical product, make and model number. The Comparison Product must be advertised at a website that is owned and operated by a company incorporated in the U.S.
9. The Low Price Guarantee applies only to regularly advertised prices and does not include sales or discounted prices. The Low Price Guarantee does not apply if the Comparison Product is offered as part of a going out of business sale, special bonus program, special financing program, installation discount or rebate program, or any one-of-a-kind or other limited offer.
I personally don't think this is a good "Low Price Guarantee" program. It is really upto your own consideration.
