Can anyone confirm the quality control issues Logitech has with these? About a third of the reviews I've read say that unless you baby these things the amp tends to overheat and fail, or the sound levels start to fluctuate.
 
Make this an even hotter deal - replace the factory-included wires with Monster Cable XP 14-Gauge speaker wires
Thats what I did and boy, the sound is even better!

A 30' spool (Mfg. Part XPMS-30) costs $19.95, which is not too expensive

Very very nice speakers. Got them a while ago when the Dell deal first came out.
And free shipping is so incrediby awesome on 50 lb. speakers 😀
 
Yet another time where living in Hawaii sucks. They want over $100 in shipping alone. I think I will be better off going to a local computer store and getting them for $180 plus tax. It's a shame though. Oh well.

Really, Hawaii isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's nice to visit for a few weeks, but living here kind of sucks. You've heard of cabin fever, well here we have island fever. Unlike the mainland, you can't just hop in your car and drive. Plus, if you don't like the beach (like me) or if you like the cold and snow (like me) then you are screwed.

Ah well, nice deal for all of you on the mainland. Wish I could get in on it.

I'm thinking about getting these speakers for the system I'm building.

I'm pretty green in the sound department. I'm thinking about getting the Audigy Platinum to go along with the AIW Radeon 7500 video card. Will this card work well with these speakers?

I just ordered mine yesterday...


Its an upgrade form selfpower (puny sound, trust me) JBL speaker that came with the computer 5-6 years ago

i think its a big upgrade!!!
 
does anyone know how i can hook this up to an amp? i wanna use speakers while watching tv and other stuff like listening to the radio.




 
Just got mine this Morning ,ordered them on Friday, so not bad, but I live in CA and they did come from here also, so that's why we are getting taxed Iin CA. Arrived in perfect shape, the only thing is the Manual says to place the SW at least 20" away from PC(HD's) had kind of a hard time finding a place for it, it's a fricken monster. I only have a SBLIVE value, but it still sounds amazing. I think I have blood on me from Q3. At least i won't have to consider a Speaker upgrade for quite awhile.
 
I'm still waiting on mine. Didn't order until Monday morning. Received tracking info today that is incorrect. It lists my package as weighing 2 lbs. and destined for Brooklyn (I'm in Chicago). I contact 2buystore this morning, and they assured me there is no problem with my order. My fingers are crossed.

got mine today, ups left a note yesterday saying i wasnt home(even tho i was) but anyways, i ordered it last friday, so they're pretty quick.
 
I received them the Friday of the week I ordered. Double boxed. Packed very well.

Hooked them up to the new system I just built: P4 1.6a @ 2.1. Using an Audigy Platinum card.

Excellent sound and a great deal.
