I was wondering if someone who has this combo could describe the wireless attachment that connects to the computer? Does it have cords? How large are the attachments? thanks

How does this work? I signed up on ebates and searched the elite duo on the site. I got a pop up saying:

Please be aware that Dell is unable to track orders that are made by linking between business units. If you click on Dell Home Systems, Dell Home Systems Software and Peripherals (S&P) or Dell Small Business, the purchase needs to be made within that business unit. If you find that you have navigated away from the intended site or you wish to access other areas of the Dell Site, return to the Ebates home page and choose the appropriate link for the purchase. Purchases of computer systems are not permitted through the Dell Home Systems S&P link. Purchases made in the Dell Outlet site are not commissionable, and a rebate will not be paid.

I made the purchase but I don't see any discount in my account at ebates. What did I do wrong? Am I suppose to keep that pop up present while shopping?

What should I mail in instead of a reciept for the rebate? Dell sent a copy of an invoice that says "this is not a receipt" or something to that effect, i left it at my other house so i can't check the exact phrase ATM.

Hi, does anyone knows if you can use the MX700 with this keyboard? Do you have to use the same receiver, different ones ? would there be any interference? could I use the spare mouse (the one that cames with the keyboard) on another machine or something ?

If I can combine this with the MX700 I am buying it

thanks for any answer on this.

To get the ebates you need to go to the Dell site through the ebates link and then checkout with your ebates e-mail@ebates.com as the email address. Sometimes you can add coupons and such to your shopping cart before going through ebates, then go through ebates and bingo... your discount is in the cart already.
Sometimes that is. :)

And where would you get an ebats.com email address?

If anyone knows whether the mouse that comes with this is the same as the mouse that comes with the Cordless Comfort Duo, i can vouch for the mouse. I picked up a Cordless Comfort Duo for $45 and i must say i'm pretty impressed with the way the mouse handles. I haven't had it long enough to speak for the battery life, but the mouse works just as well as my intellimouse explorer did!

of course, if the mice are different, then nevermind

It should work will no problems....both mice could be used at same time even...of course mouse would move a little strange :)

You would have to use different reciever units as they transmit on different frequencies.....

Also, I have the mx700...plays games real nice.

"And where would you get an ebats.com email address?"

When you sign up at ebates.com you should be asigned an ebates e-mail address. It's not the same as the e-mail address you give them when you signed up. For instance mine is bla!n@ebates.com.
Oops... should have been an "i" instead. ;)

ebates.com FAQs... "Do all purchases qualify for a discount?".

BTW, I wish I could have referred you, I would have got an extra $5 when you made your first purchase through ebates
I really like ebates. I try to buy through them when it works out cheaper. So far they've sent me $94.54 since I joined. :D

I just got this from Dell and it's taking me some time to get used to in in BF1942. I'm hoping that it's just a matter of
time before I figure it out 100%....

Me too I think it is a bug ... It seems ok with all my other games, except 1942! Sad!

I have no idea where to find that email you say they assigned me. Is it in the email they sent? Is it in my account summary? The FAQ doesn't mention checking out wit an ebates email addy so I don't see why we need to enter it.

The MX700 refreshes at 125hz thats why it plays like a corded USB mice.....no lag
This particular cordless mouse does not refresh as fast.

Can anyone tell me what the keyboard lag is like? I wanna use it for gaming.

To answer a few questions above. I have the Elite Duo and have used both the mouse that comes with it as well as an MX700. You certainly can use the MX700 with the keyboard. You do have to use two separate receivers if you are going to use the MX700 and the keyboard, though. I don't notice any lag with the keyboard. I haven't switched back and forth to compare a wired keyboard, but I don't notice any difference in gameplay between my old keyboard and this one. The mouse that comes with the Elite Duo seems fine as well. I use it on another computer now and, while it's no MX700, I have no complaints about it. The attachments to the computer consist of a receiver about the size of a small fist and some wires. If you use the standard mouse port the mouse connection at the PC will stick out an inch or two from the back of the PC -- similar to the MX700. This is a very nice set and the keyboard is great looking and has a nice feel to it. If you play FPS games a lot I would combine it with an MX700. You cannot buy the keyboard separately so this is the only way to get the keyboard for now.

from programs, go to logitech, then itouch. open the itouch configuration, go to hotkeys tab, then modify your keys to whatever you want them to be.

i apologize. should have been more specific. even in that menu, they are switched around. all of the media keys do not function for their intended use, and i do not think there is a way to modify these buttons. i have gone to the itouch control panel and switched everything around, in fact thats where i went to first. thank you for your suggestion tho. appreciate any comments.

The keyboard works mostly fine with a linksys kvm.

I say mostly because some times the ctrl-ctrl stops working. Never had that happen with a corded keyboard.

Anyone else have this problem?

Have not tried the mouse because I have the MX700 which works swell with my KVM.
