Thanks for the info

EDIT: I reposted your thread in ATOT. Didn't mean to steal your thunder, but some people don't come in here, so I thought it was worth posting over there.

No problem. Some things are better shared any which way it takes.

:woowoo: free power cord!

Pretty amazing that MS made 14.1 million Xboxes before Jan 13, 2004. The last sales figures I saw had through the end of 2004:
Worldwide
PlayStation 2 - 81.39 million
Xbox - 19.9 million
GameCube - 18.03 million

:D

Hey, this is great news. I recieved an XBox from a friend, with a dead HD (a fixer-upper opportunity), but no cords. I bought a composite/S-vid cable for $5, but didn't feel like dropping $12 on an official replacement cord. :( So free is great!

excellent, I've been wanting to get an extra cord, so all I have to move is my box and not climb behind my entertainment center. Thanks for the link, hope its quick delivery.

Thanks for the heads up, but my xbox was mfg. 1-7-2004, past the cut off date for the U.S. Of course, this is my 2nd xbox since the first xbox i had came with the sh!tmode DVD drive.

Shut it. He's warning people of a possible burn down the house kinda thing and you can get the faulty part replaced for free. Take your nitpicking elsewhere.

So anytime a car is recalled it should be posted as a hot deal?

The post is fine, it's just in the wrong place.

If it's something that affects a good portion of the AT reader population, that wouldn't be a bad idea. Seeing as how tech/gamer-oriented this place is, a post about an X-Box wouldn't be a bad idea. However, seeing as this is a deal about something that is free (that isn't normally), that in fact is a Hot Deal, and is perfectly on-topic. (Well, in my humble non-mod opinion, anyways. They are the ultimate arbiter of what is or isn't on here.)

No, it's not. Yours might be though.

LOL, I have been switching the power cord back and forth between my xbox and PS2 for months. Now I can finally have them both plugged in at the same time. :p

Nice. :) I've been needing a spare power cord so i don't have to carry cables with me when I swap TVs with my XBox (Get to play on the Big Screen in the living room when the wife's not home :D )

Thanks for the heads up... my 2001 XBox thanks you, too.

When you spend 15k+ on a car they notify you by mail when there is a recall on your car. So no I don't think that needs to be posted.

Thanks OP I got one comming. I am glad you posted this as I knew nothing about it.
