This is my first post so go easy on me.

It's a brand new--not refurb--drive with burn proof/smart burn technology and 1 year warranty.

I talked to the customer service guy...it's a lite-on drive inside an ARGOSY casing.

Here's the link.

I've been looking for an external CD burner since I replaced my desktop with a laptop, and so far all the new drives I found are over $100. Most 4x USB drives--like Acer and HP--cost about $120 and up, so I think this is a pretty sweet deal if you're looking for a decent external drive.

They also have the firewire version of it here.

My total came out to be $156.69 with shipping included. ;)

Happy buying. :)

I just bought a firewire case for cdrw and IBM 2 port firewire kit for my laptop with total 121..I guess I can find a very nice burner for around 70 dollars today. And yeah..my enclosure is really for dvd-ram too!

according to the customer service guy I talked to it has burnproof. And everyone I've talked to told me "go with lite-on if you can't afford plextor" because they are pretty good in quality.
