The correct SKU is 122-004. It is a 1Mb, and a 10 base t card as well. I have a couple left at my store. If someone wants these bad enough, try having the store do a will call. I know my managers would transfer one out if the buyer wanted to pay shipping. Anyway, if you happen to swing by Depot, just have them look up store 855.

I picked up the 3 left in cincinnati. They were $9.88.

The reason for the .88 is because when they are discontinued, they mark them to .88 for easy reference to the CSR. My thought is that corporate meant it to be $99.88, not $9.88!

Sweet deal!!!

bargaingunner-

Just the other day, I walked into a local OD store in Texas (Dallas area) and saw three 1 mbps phonenetworking kits marked at 9.88 and one 10 mbps one marked at 99.99. I went ahead and asked them to scan the 10mbps version (200sk), and lo and behold, it was also 9.88 !!!

Actually, when I read your post saying that you took all of the remaining ones in Texas, I wasn't too optimistic and was actually pissed that I missed out on the deal. I just went to OD to see if there were any DVD's left. Needless to say, they had none, and I don't think that particular store ever sold any since no one had a clue when I asked them. Ironically, I happened to walk by their networking aisle and that's when I saw the phoneline kits. So much for calling them up for 'realtime' inventory.

Can anyone tell me if these are standardized? I currently have a HomeFree 10mb kit and I was wondering if this would work with those cards. This is a great deal!

If anybody sees these, I will happily pay the $9.88 + shipping + "whatever within reason for your trouble". I use the 1MB cards now and would really like to move to the 10s.

I'm pretty sure they are compatible. My wife's sony Vaio laptop has a Linksys combo 10 base/1Mbps phoneline card that works fine with the diamond homefree 10Mbps kit used for the other 2 machines in the apartment. Wow, 2 people in a one bedroom apartment with a 3 computer home network. I just realized how absurd that is!!! Anyway, shares the cable modem access fine.

You can still get a set of them at CompGeeks. They are $12.50 there but with shipping that makes them less then 10 bucks each and they do come with the 10BaseT RJ-45 connector if you want to upgrade to a real network later on.

PS. The homeline part on these is only 1Mbs.
