Pick it up at the store to save on shipping -

I paid $120 and got a $70 rebate about a month ago for this......now it's dirt cheap.

It is ringing up as $59.99 at CC B&M ---- Website has it at $79.99 ----

I've been working with these cameras for over a year. Bottom line: You get what you pay for on this one. The pictures are just OK. It comes with proprietary software, which is good, since most off the shelf software packages WON'T work with it.

It's certainly better than the Macy's digital camera deal - but that's about it. If you're actually looking to PAY for a digital camera, get a better one. But for less than $70, this is about the best around.

the operative sentence is "best around for $70". not to give roguish people ideas, but kodak sent me a 3200 to replace the one i bought from bb as open box that had a busted battery door (really important in this cam). they have good service afaict
it's a good cam imo. $59.99 is worth paying attention to DEFINITELY

edit: did i mention that they sent me the replacement first?

Thank you Thank you. I just picked up three for $59 at local B&M.
Also picked up 32 Meg CF cards for $30.

Thats a camera and card that will hold at least 60 pics for less that $100.

I bought one of these for the kids at christmas time and have been using it to collect pictures of jobs for posting on the net. The file size downloaded to my drive is usually 270 Kb. If it uses the same amount on the card that would be close to 100 pics. Quality is good for web and print nice if you don't want a pic bigger than 4 x 6 inches. Also I don't use the included software I use a card reader to transfer pics. This makes the 8meg of built in memory not useable but this is not usb transfer serial only. Very Sllooowwww.

it's only slow if you have experienced usb transfer BEFORE. my boss and coworkers think serial pic transfer is just fine (especially if they have to cough up $30+ for a reader 🙂 and i thought i was cheap)
anyway, the kodak gives you an option to transfer the pics from internal memory to cf, if i remember correctly. if anybody needs more details, respond in this thread (my pms are full again 🙁)

I don't have a Compact Flash card reader...do I need one? Or will this go right from the Flash card in the camera(i plan to buy a 32mb or 64mb one), through the serial onto my HD? Is that how it works? Never had a Digital camera..but for this price, I might need one. 🙂

if i'm not mistaken (didn't have a chance to try those functions before i sold em), the answer to both questions is yes.
but look here, this will probably answer questions in a lot more detail than i would be able
good luck!

Beware. I was going to pick this camera up and as I got in Circuit City I saw a greedy employee stash the last 4 of them for himself. So get there fast and maybe you can beat out these losers.

Thanks unclebud.
I wish I had of known that before. I was out the other day and filled my 16 Meg CF. I was going to take out the cf and use the built in mem. I didn't bother because I thought I would have to use serial and install the software.

Definately a nice feature.

The built in 2mb of memory is soooooo slow, I was immediatly regretting my purchase, because the only advantage it had over my 5 year old epson photo pc was the higher resolution and the ability to take memory cards. Then my 32mb CF card came and all worries went away. The CF card is so much faster, it was definatly worth the price.

There's no lense cap for this camera though, although it is threaded so it might take a clear filter if you could find one that small. I'm going to stop at a camera shop tomorrow and see if they have anything like that.

They were out at the circuit city in Delaware. I asked the sales guy, he checked the stock online. And said no problem. He will ship it to my house for the same price $59.99 so i said give me 5. Nice BDay presents for whatever. and one for each of my 2 kids.

PS no shipping charge if they order it for you.

someone cleaned out the moreno valley, CA store right before i got there. =P
they got all 3, even the display unit was gone. heh.

riverside store had 2, i got one. 🙂

good luck
