Not a bad deal on some top quality media. It is a shame that these blanks are 650MB and not 700MB, though.

JYA - Those Fuji blanks that you are returning are Taiyo Yudens, most probably (get CDRIdentifier from http://www.gum.de/it/download/english.htm ), and these are awesome blanks.

CHU - If you have access to an OfficeMax store, then you can get 50-pack spindles of FujiFilm blanks (if the sale is still going) for $10 after an $8 instant rebate and $5 mail-in rebate. These are most probably Taiyo Yudens (all of mine have been).

Heh, ok, maybe you can get Tayido Yuden's (I swear i'll learn how to spell that some day) for less then $0.36 each, but it seems like sorta a crap shoot. I remember the last two deals that involved Tayido Yuden's turned out to be cheap imitations (the sam's club deal a while back and another office depot deal), and since then I've decided just to stick with what I know is good.

I ordered 5 packs, shipping was only $7, so not too bad. A great price on great discs. I tend to use these for all my important stuff, the Taiyo Yudens for my own semi-important stuff and cheapos for giveaways

But still, it would be interesting to find out how outpost.com got these discs and where exactly they came from. Kodak stopped making the gold/gold Ultima discs quite some time ago due to manufacturing costs and switched over to silver/gold instead. These things have been sitting around in somebody's warehouse for a long time.

Thanks for the post- my order went through and I found out that I had $10 of why.com FLOOZ set to expire tomorrow! I'm surprised they never bothered to send me an email notifying me of the expiration.

So... check your Flooz balances. I was happy to spend mine on these cds. And thanks!

MisterE--I do know the Fuji CD-Rs are the Taiyo Yudens, but this Kodak disk is cheaper than the Fuji one. If considering the cost of jewel case for the fuji disk, I will pay more for it. And I actually do not use too much 700MB CD-Rs. I still keep one spindle with me though.

My parents are gonna kill me, I already have like 500 CDR discs and I am still ordering more! =P. Hot deal on nice quality CDs, I always liked the Kodak ones, except for the old CDRs where the top label peeled off and screwed alot of my recordings. $55.16 for 15 packs too =)

Slow, relatively pricey shipping, oh what would I do for the old days of free overnight. Too bad, considering the name &quot;outpost&quot; was built on that quick and free delivery.

I called Outpost and spoke with a CSR who stated that this item is no longer carried and the web page needs to be updated.
