HOT! - Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 $199.95 @ Best Buy B&M

As the title says... Klipsch ProMedia 4.1's are marked down to $199.95 @ Best Buy B&M, no rebates to deal with, no PM's and a great price. Maybe there's somewhere to price match it so as to use a cupon in adition?

WTF, i just bought my 2.1's for 180 there
🙁!!!!!!!

what hte hell is going on.. everything i buy, i find something cheaper on this forum !!!!

will best buy gimmie money back if the they marked down the 2.1's

Yes this will give you money back if they marked down the 2.1's but I'm sure they didn't

My guess is they are phasing out the 4.1s because the new 5.1 line is coming out soon.
They will continue to offer the 2.1s for the guy who doesn't need multichannel sound

Hot price.. for a good system.

Still 299 on the website.

This has to be a clearance price then.

I can't wait for the 5.1s I want that dual 8" sub and 5 channels.

Actually you would have 30 days to return the speakers. The 14 days if for actual
computer systems etc. I've never had any problems returning video cards, drives,
or any other computer accessory after 14 days.

I saw this deal today in Miami, FL. If they didn't have a markdown on the shelf at your BB, you could ask them to scan it, just incase it is in the computer system.

Not unless someone put the price tag in the wrong place... from all the people in Cali who said they dont have this deal, maybe it was a mistake. But maybe not, its logical enough now that they have the 5.1's comming out...

EDIT: There was a diff. price tag, it wasnt the usual one, though i didn't read anything but the price cause it was right over the 4.1 price (they are on the top shelf, the price was right below the unit where it's always been) so I just assumed. Again maybe the price was just stuck in the wrong spot.

As I remember, there's a similar post about this $199 price of 4.1...............it actually ended up the guy was looking at V2-400 price tag and thought it was for 4.1

I don't think they are gonna dump the price down that much. The 4.1 price shouldn't be priced this low to drive out the stock for new 5.1 coming out. They aren't comparable. 5.1 is now becoming Klipsch top end product, they aren't replacing 4.1 with 5.1

Some info about best buy and pricing:

.95 = Competitor Price Match
.97 = Competitor Price Match
.70 = Going out of stock, but more in warehouse
.50 = No longer carry them what you see is what you get (none in warehouse).

Usually with .95's and .97's it's a local price match. I've worked at best buy for over 3 years (while I was in high school). Always some good info to know though.

I actually went to BB today and actually also tried the sound because so many people said it's one of the best speakers and yes the price was 299.00. I would take one myself if it was 199.00. Also that's true.... the sound was the best comparing to other speakers right there. So now I am looking at the Cambridge FPS 2000. How good is Cabridge compare to Klipsch? I know Klipsch would be better but how much different cause the price really different alot. Thanks

Darno

Hey,
I have owned the FPS 2000, and upgraded to the Klipsch V2.400's, and the difference is mind blowing. If you can save up the extra cash, buy them. To be perfectly honest, the difference between the v2.400's and the 4.1's are only 2 main things. 1 is an improved cross over which actually changes the mid range in the satellites, you wont notice much of a difference unless you are an audiophile, in which case the fps2000's wouldn't cut it for you anyways. Also, the main difference is a new pre-amp, this preamp is attached to the main sattelite speaker, and contains all the controls. The difference between the new pre-amp and the old one is this, they have an on-off switch, an input built in, as well as an output for a set of headphones, and improved gain. If you want to save money, you should consider buying the V2.400, for 199.99 going to Klipsch's website, which is here and ordering the new pre-amp, which is sold as an upgrade for the v2.400's for 49.99. It is called the cp-1.

Also, to answer the question about the 5.1's they will be released July 15th, at least thats what i have been told my the promedia tech's. Also, they will be priced in the ball park of around 399.99 🙂

To be honest, I am completely satisfied with the older V2.400's and i am an audio freak. So, believe me, anyone who is considering buying these speakers for 199.99 should give them a shot, they wont be dissapointed.

Hey,

I dont think staples carry's them. Im sure that the price will drop when the 5.1's come out, but believe me, they wont drop lower than 250, and the v2.400's will be steady at 199.99 until they sell them all. Trust me, dont be fooled by the 100 dollar price difference, for 99% of everyone who listens to the speakers, the sound difference between the 4.1's and the V2.400's is soo minute that you wont hear it. The only difference is the added convience of having a headphone jack at reaching distance, but I personally didn't feel it worth the extra price, expecially with the 5.1's around the corner. With the V2.400's at 199.99, is a STEAL, I bought mine for 249.99 and I would pay that again in a heartbeat. If you have any doubts, just buy them, and test them out. Also, you dont NEED a 2 channel sound card, you can use a normal card, and buy a splitter from radio shack.

Hope this helps

Maybe I am more particular about sound, but I thought the difference in the midrange was fairly significant between the 4.00's and the 4.1's. When I listened to the 4.00s I was questioning some of the rave reviews, but when I heard the 4.1's, I was hooked. Comparing them side by side I would spend the extra money for the 4.1's. I was ready to buy them too until I heard about the 5.1 being released.
