Not really, sure this is a "high end" "JVC", but for $800 you can do better receiver wise.

Agreed, JVC is something you might buy in the $300-500 range, though I'd recommend Onkyo over JVC or Sony.

In this price range you should be looking for Denon, H&K or other "better" brands.
