Actually that Panasonic 90 Watt Micro System is quite good. they sound way better than some other brand costing a lot more. Those Sony, Denon ones looks better though, but are only 40 watts.

I could not get ANY $xx-off-$100 coupons to work, and I tried a bunch. It says that the order doesn't meet the minimum $$ amount for the rebate, which is nonsense.

On the other hand, it did take the free backpack coupon code, which made a nice $60 bonus.

staples.com is getting wierd on this stereo. Although the website shows "1 day" availability, I got an email saying that the stereo was OOS "in my area" and probably would not be restocked. I called my local B&M and was told that it was IN STOCK at the store, so I called the 800 #.

The customer no-service twit admitted that .com purchases are shipped from various warehouses and that it was IN STOCK at some warehouses and OUT OF STOCK permanently at other warehouses. OK, fine, sez I, ship it to me from a warehouse that DOES have it. DUH!! Can't do that, she sez. Why not, sez I? Just cant. Supervisor, please, sez I. Supervisor won't help you, sez she. Supervisor, please, sez I, demanding now.

Supervisor arranges for shipment of the stereo from an "IN STOCK" warehouse, verifies that the backpack is in stock and that the "$59.95 off" coupon has been applied so that the backpack is free.

MORAL of the story: Don't be afraid to complain. If you don't get satisfaction, fight your way up the management chain till you do.
