I missed this the last time around, so I went for it this time. Great price -- the ones that *I* saw on ebay were going for more than mine after tax and shipping....

 


These are really cool. Picture quality is not bad... I hook it up and let my son play with around with it.



I could see film schools using these. Remember the b&w camera that used the C90 tapes? I almost think this could have the same cult following in a few years.

Depends what you're looking for. It is web cam quality--in fact, I'm guessing that it's basically a web cam in a different case. Only shoots at 15 frames per second, and at the higher res. setting--320x240? only captures 1 minute at a time. This is strictly a toy, you wouldn't use it as a normal camcorder. But bearing that in mind, it's pretty fun, software works pretty well, and there's something about the quality that feels very super-8 home movie-ish. I'm very glad I only paid $30 for it.
