Hrm... Around the time of the Insight offer, I saw these things selling at 1049.99 on the IBM website. If you are willing to dish out $1099, then you prolly want to check the price on IBM's website first.

Right now the site is not resonding, so I can't confirm.

For anyone interested in a larger screen (though a smaller HD), ECost has the Thinkpad 570e for 1298.98. The link is http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=57951. It's a nice alternative to the 240x if you're willing to spend another 200+ dollars more which I think is made up in the 13.3 TFT screen. I'm thinking of getting this for my wife since she would take it on the road a lot and could use something light. I for one own the T21 which is also an awesome laptop IMHO.
