Starting Sunday, Feb. 29, Staples will be selling the HP Laserjet 1012 for $149.98 - $20 MIR = $129.98

If you throw in something to make it over $150, you can then use one of 'em $30 off $150 coupons to make it:

$149.98 - $20 MIR - $30 coupon = $99.98

I think that's a pretty good deal on a nice laser printer. It even includes a full cartridge which yields up to 2,500 pages (at 5% coverage). Replacement cartridges typically run $69. And unlike other manufacturers (Minolta, Brother) there's no separate drum cartridge which can cost more than the printer itself.

What do people think. Hot or Not?

found the coupon but it looks like it expires the 28 the day before the sale and its says it can't be combined with other offers but I guess it wouldn't matter if its a manufac rebate

The coupon is for IN STORE only.

I called a CSR to order and they matched it no questions asked. So call in your order.

EDIT: add + 1 to the last number for the online coupon and it works

Actually you change the last number in the code from a 1 to a 2.

Bah. I bought this printer on the 27th, and just called Staples.com to ask about it so I don't have to return it and then buy a new one. She said that since I hadn't ordered it online, she would call the manager of my local store and talk to him about it. Hopefully he won't be a dick, cause it would be a pain in the ass to return it and then buy a new one; but for $50 I damn well will.

Link is above for the rebate or gift check...if you read the details, they are very contradictory. It says that all gift checks will be in the form of US dollars, then it says that gift checks are only good in Staples stores...I don't know, read it and let me know what you think.
