HOT! HP jornada color pocket pc 49.88 Deal is Dead

Jokersmoker, I appreciate all your hard work in getting the deals. However, since you are a FW Member of The Year, you could have at least given credit to the forum where you got this deal from, and not present this as your own find.

Wow this is a steal.

This is by no means one of the best PDA's for sale right now, but it's definitely the best one available for $50!! I owned this, before upgrading to the 567. Very solid PDA. And, it's pocketpc!

Looks iffy: I ordered one anyway (How many did YOU get?)

E-mail confirmation states:

<< Please note, however, that this message does not serve as a confirmation of
price (including tax, if applicable) nor of product availability. You will
receive an email directly from Office Depot at the time the order is fulfilled
confirming the price (including tax, if applicable) and quantity shipped.

Maybe S/H will be $200
😀

Thanks for the great find.

damn... I was trying to confirm the order when there server was down, and now I got 4 "Order Received" emails. I hope they dont sent me 4...

Well, im bored waiting for that confirmation to finally go through... But itd be nice if it was legit. I'm doubting it though because its an old model and the chances of OD having enough to satisfy the FW and Anand effect is impossible. But maybe the first hundred or so will get in on it?

BTW: I had one of these before and its slow, screen sucks and a bit heavy. But definitely worth $50 just to use as an mp3 player...

(YES! While I was typing i made it through!)

Marketing guys should be freaking out right about now. The IT guys are wondering what the h!ll. Should be a funny seen. I don't expect to see anything other than a $200 shipping/tax/bonehead charge on my credit card. But atleast I got my order in before the site went down. Hope this pans out!

<< does anyone know if these can be upgraded to Pocket PC 2002? >>

No it can't, it uses an SH3 Cpu 133mhz, the PPC 2002 utilized the ARM 203mhz Cpus found in Ipaqs and the new Jornadas the 560 series.

<< does anyone know if these can be upgraded to Pocket PC 2002? >>

If this is the Jornada 520 (or 525), no. PPC 2002 requires an Intel StrongARM processor, this has an SH3 processor. Still a really good PDA for this price. I owned one (from a previous hot deal..bought it for $200, recently sold it for $190), and they are really built very well. A lil heavy but a decent PDA. The best feature on the HP's is the ability to have a flip-top on it..makes it easy to throw in a pocket without an additional case.

If you get one, go download Gigabar immediately. Make navigation much easier, and it's free.
