HOT! HP Deskjet 845c $9.99 after rebate & coupon!

I ran out of ink so I was hunting for a hot deal on a printer and finally found one. Office Depot lowered their price on the HP Deskjet 845c to $79.99 from $99.99 in February. Use a $20 off $75 coupon which brings the price down to $59.99. If you have bought a new computer since the beginning of the year (any brand) with a monitor, or you bought a laptop recently (many of us have scored laptop deals lately) you qualify for a $50 rebate from HP, which brings the price to $9.99 after rebate, coupon, and free delivery! Not bad, it's cheaper to buy a new printer than new ink!

If you bought a HP computer, you qualify for a larger rebate.

Rebate Details

You only have until 4/14/02 to make your purchases to qualify for the rebate...

Click below for Office Depot coupons...

looking at the rebate from OD it provides a $50 rebate for "any hp inkjet printer (except the Deskjet 600, 800 or 2200 series)" so I doubt that rebate is going to come through unless I've missed something.

That sucks big time, I read ANY printer myself...

The Office Depot page for the HP Deskjet 845c links right to that rebate page though.

You should mention in your title that you need to buy a computer! Not Hot. Anyway, I've heard this thing drinks ink like nobody's business...

Even if the rebate did come through, this is a deal for only a select few. Why don't you edit your title so as not to waste my time and the time of others that haven't bought a HP product that qualifies.

Ditto about the deal. Wrong on the ink. I have the printer already & it's excellent for ink usage. A far cry better than any similar priced Epson. I just ran out of ink on the first black cartridge after 6 months of use (college student shared with another college student). HP carts are pretty large compared to some Epson carts, plus HP printers don't waste a ton of ink "cleaning" the heads every time you print (since Epson (some, maybe not all) heads are built in).

two things
1. does officemax still honer Staples coupons? If someone knowswhere to find a Staples 10$ off 40$ and uses it with this printer in officemax and then gets the rebate for 40$ it will still be 9.99-anyone know if this will work?? anyone know where to find Staples coupon printable for that price? Please PM me if you do.

2. Anyone ever hear of the HP 870se? I have this printer and I can never find any info on it. It's as if HP never made this printer-was it discontinued? anyone know why?

<< I see this rebate and it is valid for new printer (without system purchase) but CDN 40 for 845c. Just my 2 cents. >>

That makes it a sweet enough deal for me! Nice find.

<< $20 off $75 coupon not valid in tech depot... >>

I expected it not to work either. But to my surprise it did.

The $40 rebate is in Canadian dollar. Read carefully!

This never be a deal. Please delete or get the Mods lock this thread.

Look here. I think the 870 was the big brother of the old HP 820 Business Class model that I used to have.
