Called them today and perhaps a couple will be shaking loose soon. Guy on the phone said they had many more actually claim the rebates than expected - somewhere over 300,000 so there's a backlog... Well, not my fault C-M made absurdly high rebate offers or that the 690 sold like hotcakes. Though it is a decent case, the absurdly high rebates had a lot to do with its perceived popularity.

So that explains why I haven't recieved my CoolerMaster rebates either. Thanks for the info. I wonder if my ThermalTake rebates were caught up in the same backlog, as they use the same rebate processor. Can you give me the number that you called? And is that for CoolerMaster, or the rebate processor?

VL,
Go to the http://www.coolermaster-usa.com site, click on Contact Us, go down the page to the USA section and then down to the last "rebate" link (assuming you bought online). The phone number is right there. Or you can just link to the site to check your status. The latest rebate I sent off doesn't show on my list yet, but it's only for $5.00. The two case rebates are what I could use any time now...

Got my $100 rebate a while back. I'm kicking myself for not getting in on the earlier rounds of this rebate as I could use more. I hope they bring it back.

I was creative and used Google check-out, and two $10 credits from Cost Central. I pd $1.22 for 5 sticks!! I'd love to see this deal come back.

So, what does it mean if I haven't received my rebate yet? (mailed end of Jan)
They piled up as a lot of people bought them?

The rebate fulfillment times seemed to have moved up slightly, now averaging approximately six weeks. So you should be receiving your rebate any day now. This was such a great deal. Wish it would come back one more time, such high-quality modules.

I was just looking back at past receipts from my last four ram upgrades over a six year period, and three out of four were freebies like this one. Can't beat that.

Give it another week. I got in on this deal twice myself, once last year and once this year. I have yet to receive my rebate from 2007, but I received my 2008 rebate within four weeks. Go figure...v:confused:

I just got my 4 sticks runs fine at DDR770 at 1.8v. IP35-E.

I had 2 sticks running fine @ DDR800 @ 1.8v in my IP35-E. :)

Hey how high have you clocked these things? I tried DDR900 won't go, so figure probably just stay around 800ish to be safe.

I didn't go over 800...cpu was gettin' a little too warm to suit me.
Ran memtest & prime95 overnight w/no errors.
I tried doing it @ 4-4-4-12 & bumping the voltage up to 1.9v, but it pretty much told me to f**k off...hehehe.

yeah that thing don't listen to voltages much. I think good enough to leave it on 1.8v, I tried DDR900 in a test, won't even post even at 5-5-5-15. I guess can't complaint on the $3/stick RAM that advertises on DDR667 but can do DDR800. well, probably go DDR3 next year that's going to be fun to play with.

I had 'em running in an IP35-E at 850 @ 5,5,5,15 2T, 2.0V, that's about all I could get out of 'em. That's with 4 sticks of course, might do slightly better with only 2.

I sent my rebate in on Feb. 20 and received the check yesterday. I wound up getting 4GB for $2.11. I bought 5GB for $114.95. I sold 1GB for $15 and paid $2.16 to ship it.
  • $114.95 - $100 - $15 + $2.16 = $2.11
This has to be one of the best deals I've ever gotten.

Edit: It's funny that I sold 2GB of used DDR for $70 and bought 4GB of new DDR2 for $2.11.

Best deal on ram I ever got. Allowed me to build a modest htpc for $310.

Can do: 800mhz at 5-5-5-15 on 1.8v
800mhz at 4-4-4-12 on 1.9v
910mhz at 5-5-5-15 on 2.0v
Haven't tried tweaking to see if it'll do more than 910mhz but I can tell you that it won't do 800mhz at 3-3-3-9 even at 2.2v (didn't dare go any higher). But what are you going to do? It's value ram after all.
