hot?: HP 1gb/10$ still on?

i have an order on w/ cc from the 16th...anybody else having an item on hold? i ordered 1 pair, then went back for another. got the first pair but this 2nd is just sitting there.

. Your message is unclear. Do you mean you have placed an order and it is being held by the seller for some reason? Who did you order yours from? Did you call them for an explanation? Are these the HP modules? If so, could you tell me the maker of the chips on the ones you have?

anyway, it is just sitting there on the website - no action - i called them and they said it was sent to the warehouse, but still nothing. just wondering if this was an isolated incident?

as far as the ones i received already, they have micron d9hnl chips

Well, today is a gov't holiday so items normally shipped by USPS won't be going anywhere today anyway, and perhaps some of the other shippers handle today on a holiday schecule too. And thanks for the info.

I ordered 2 sticks from Costcentral on Sunday night. Guess I'm glad I unintentionally waited so long to buy it, since now I only payed $6 shipped. Not bad if you ask me.

Is the serial number used for the rebate from the outer paper box that the plastic case that has the ram in it is enclosed in?

You can photo copy the label on the front of the small cardboard box that the ram comes in, or you can just cut the card board up. It's thinner than the cardboard of a cereal box.

Oh yeah, Did I mention I got my 5 sticks from Cost Central already. Got 5 more coming from AntOnline, but had my Dad order those for me, so I'll be able to use 2 rebates. $2.99 a stick from CostCentral and FAR from AntOnline.

i have read that these particular d9 chips will do ~450/900 @ 5-5-5-15 but i can't verify it. also have read they don't like V, so 1.9 is ~ as far as they get pushed, but i would say yes, there is a snowballs chance 🙂

My order from ANTOnline was just summarily canceled - with a spurious claim that my order was damaged en route to the shipper's hub... Anyone else?

I just re-ordered thru CostCentral/Erie Computer in hopes they do better. $2.99 each AR - shipped free. At least they are near me so I can run over and knock heads if they treat me as poorly.

Filling out the rebate forms (2 pages)
Putting the 4 UPC's in the same envelope,
Including my Google Checkout receipt, along with circling the purchase price.
Mailing away to Puerto Rico and allowing 6-8 weeks for my check of $80?

i can fill out the form just once for all 4 sticks right?!

Yes, just the one form will work.

If you look at page 2 of the rebate form you'll see 5 lines for where your suppose to include the serial number, just list the 4 that you have and include the UPC's(or photo copies) and your receipt with the purchase price circled.

Then just place ONE .41 stamp on it and your golden.

Doesn't that ring the "hinky" bell for anyone else? I've never mailed a rebate to PR. Or does HP just like to string out the pipeline and increase the likelihood of lost submissions?

This is the third rebate promo for this RAM and no one that I know of has complained about a lost rebate. I've done this rebate 3 times with no problems. When the deal was first posted last year a lot of folks were worried about the rebate going to PR and even called HP to verify that it was legit.

Well my order from CostCentral.com is on the Fedex ground truck ETA tomorrow. Order in and out the same day - their inventory check says they still had 2050 left a few minutes ago. They'll be getting a top RR entry from me assuming all is as advertised.

i have noticed (since i couldn't make up my mind and ordered from costcentral 3x) that some orders go out/show up on their system very quick, others don't. my first order was to me the same week i ordered it, the 2nd order i ordered the 16th, didn't show up on their system as being shipped until the 22nd, but delivered the23 by ups and it looks more like a drop ship out of hp as there is a hp packing slip and the box date says 01/14/08, my 3rd order hasn't posted yet which was ordered on the 22nd....

probably already in transit but the tracking information is provided to
us lower because it is coming directly from HP. I have requested

I'm surprised how fast costcentral was for me. I placed the order on Sunday night, and received the 2 sticks of ram on Tuesday. This is especially fast since Monday was MLK Jr. Day.

Unless they shipped USPS (postal), MLK Jr. day would not effect shipping of the ram to you! 😉
