Does anyone know how to pricematch with Staples online and then use their $40 off $150 coupon? Do you get the pricematch online, do you call and get th pricematch, do you place the order over the phone with the coupon? How is it done?

I said in another thread this morning that Stapes is refusing to do a 2nd price match for me. How did you get them to price match your item for you? Did you call by phone? Did you let them know it was price matched before? Did they offer no resistance? Any information is appreciated.

Well, I did the price match thru Staples for $110 after $40 off coupon. Shipping is free. Just gave CS the info about buy.com at $148.95 and the coupon # for the $40 off.

Bloop, shipping is free right now at Buy.com thru Wednesday. I just ordered mine with a TDK CDR blank to get it over $150 and then used the $40 coupon.

Is this drive supported by Windows 2000? I looked on the microsoft compatability list, but I didn't see anything. BUT, I also didn't see many other major brands. Please help me out as this looks like a great deal.

I called in my 2nd price match at Staples on the Plextor. This CSR said a 2nd price match was fine, so the email CSRs must just be uninformed.

Also, she stated to me very plainly that they would match against next day shipping. I told her that shipping was free at Buy.com for the next few days but I wasn't sure how that applied to next day shipping, she simply assumed shipping was free regardless. I guess her conscience of keeping me on hold for 5 minutes while doing research won out over her thoroughness of getting the most money possible for Staples.

So I guess just make sure when you call, you're talking to a CSR that's really busy.

Well I called and the first csr tried to stiff me by saying only one pm.
Actually it was her boss speaking.
Then they said since I used a coupon that would make it under 150.00 so they would have to charge me.
Of course I hung up and called back and it worked ok.

 

I got them to PM after 3 different CSRs and 2 Managers !!
it's quite a hassle just for $6.77.
You have to add another $1.05 to use be able the coupon

I ordered the PlexWriter 8x4x32 last Thursday from Staples, and got it today...

$120.47 shipped....

I called today to check on status, and I asked how much the final price was, and the lady even asked me if I had a coupon code....

I was like, &quot;WHAT?!&quot;

So I try to get on our great coupon site for coupon codes, and the site was down...

So I couldn't keep her on the phone any longer... damn, I could've used another $30 off $100, that would have made the drive $90.47....

Oh well, $120 for this drive is already a deal, plus I got it is 2 business days...
