HOT HOT HOT!!! AMD 64 CPU's and new DFI nf3 board

HumblePie

Lifer
Price cuts today on AMD 64 cpus and they are dropping over and monarch as another thread here posted. However, I found everything cheaper at GameVE.com Not to mention the have the newest DFI ultra lanpartB nforce3 250 board. This thing is suppose to be a monster overclocker.

Here's the links for everyone concerned.

2800+ for $137 shipped compared to newegg at $141 and $144 at monach

3000+ for $151 shipped compared to newegg at $175 and $163 at monarch

3200+ for $192 shipped compared to newegg at $208 and $218 at monarch

Also a link to the new DFI board

Here's an anandtech review and a quote from it, "To put it simply, the DFI nF3 250Gb is the best overclocking Athlon 64 board that we have ever tested."

There's a ton of beta testers posting info about their results with the board on different forums as well.

Do you have a link describing the new price cuts? The Monarch thread you referenced was originally posted after the price cuts in July. One thing I know, the 3700+ hasn't really budged much. I've had my eye on it.

talking about the recent ones and the fact that the lower base models dropped price a little more while a few others are going up 🙁 /shrugs.

The main purpose of this hot deal thread was showing that the DFI board finally came out and the prices at the same site for the lower end, easily overclocked, amd cpu's are the cheapest available as well.

duno where you read those reviewws. Anyhow, they are the OFFICIAL pre-release site and only site right now where you can buy these boards that were released TODAY. Originally it was zipzoomfly but something happened and DFI switched to GameVE.

Lots of people had issues also with GameVe Restocking fees. Even if you send them back a defective part that was shipped to you they still charge you a restocking fee, at least thats what I remember people complaining about. Bad return policy! I'd rather pay a few bucks more for the saftey of buying at newegg.

GameVE is HORRIBLE! their customer service is brutal and restocking for THEIR own mistakes is bull$hit. avoid if you can! furthermore, if you call their customer service, good luck finding anyone who speaks any understandable english....

I'm the original poster of the GameVE.com/Leadtek 6800GT thread, and I'm still waiting for my RMA exchange. I'd have to say, based on this experience, that I would use another vendor if possible. I don't think GameVE is out to rip anybody off, but their idea of customer service is certainly not up to the Newegg standard. In my case, they received the defective board I was RMAing at 11am last Friday and the replacement didn't ship until last night (after I rigorously pursued the issue with them via email). I still have no idea if the original was previously returned or not (could be that Leadtek packs them poorly from the factory, or they get opened for testing, or...).

I believe GameVE is the exclusive vendor for the DFI nf3 motherboards right now, though, so if you want one you really don't have a choice. Just be patient if you need to RMA it (and be prepared to pay your own shipping and not know what's going on for a few days).

I read many bad reviews about GameVE. people getting shipped used parts and what not...

Well, here's another bad review.

I bought a video card from them and they sent a different model thinking I would like it instead, since the one I wanted was out of stock. They never asked if I owuld take the new model instead. I was mad because the other was a very specific card that I needed. In the end I had to pay return shipping to get it all straightened out... took quite a while too....

That is craptacular. What an amature operation. Defective hardware is bad enough but shipping something you didn't order and then making you pay return shipping if you didn't want whatever they tossed in the box? What a load of BS. Cross another company off the list.

I've bought several pieces from them and have had nothing but good luck, even when a motherboard was defective and I had to return it. Every time I have called their tech support I have gotten an english speaking gentleman. I would order from them again.
