Damn highlighting. It made me think that I had selected some text, when in actuality I had not.

Any ideas on accessories for my Nokia 6190? How difficult are the antenna's to replace? I'd like to get a translucent one that lights up when the phone rings. I already have a belt clip. Guess I could always buy a case but I'd like to get a lot of bang for my buck.

How is this news? Amazon's had a 50 off 100 cell phone coupon for eons.

Besides, you just posted a coupon. That's a no-no around here, remember?

Reasons for iwearnosox

1. Well I searched here, no one had posted it yet.
2. I just got the email from Amazon 5 minutes ago.
3. if you follow the link, the coupon is right on the front page.
4. So far 3 out of 4 people liked it.
5. Your the only one complaining

I don't need to chill, I'm not getting on his case. If it seemed that way I'm sorry.

Just pointing out some obvious notes about the whole thing.

Peace

Amazon actually tells you about the discount on their initial wireless page, so leaving it here should be okay.

this worked really well in conjuction w/ the $75 rebate on the 8260s from ATT- that deal was pretty hot around here. definitely still a hot deal though, i'm going to wait until the coupon's near it's end and hope some other sweet promotion you can use it in conjuction with comes up =)

It's an ok deal, not hot. Their accessories are outrageous. I can get the car chargers for less than $5 locally. Same with the leather carying case.

I was going to retire my 8860 and had my sights on the 8260 because of the text messaging, which is very useful for me. Amazon sells this phone for $199 without service contract, $129 with. OUCH! I can get that locally without contract for $100. $40 with contract. Even with 50% off, it doesn't really amount to much of a deal. If they sold it for $129 and youuse the 50% off, then it actually will become good.

Guess I'll wait for the new 7000 series, which is suppose to whup ass.

It seems that this code does not work for just accessories.
I got " *** This order does not meet the minimum purchase required to be eligible for the offer. Please refer to the details in your promotional offer for further information. ***" with $109.97 in my cart. Am I doing somthing wrong?

commOdog: You said you got it to work for what looks like just accessories. If so what was your total before discount?

It has to be over 100 in merchandise, tax, and s+h don't count toward 100

I 've been playing with the site, and I got it to work. But it seems if you want to ship any of the items to a 2nd adress, it will not let you use the coupon. Kinda a weird restriction, but I guess I will have to send the gift seperately. Thanks for the great tip!

This is a pretty good deal, provided you combine it with a few things...

For instance, Ericsson and AT&T have a mail-in cash rebate for $50 on the R280LX, A1228LX, and T18LX digital phones. You can go to Amazon.com and get one of these phones with AT&T service, get a couple of accessories if you need to up the price to $100, use the Amazon coupon, and then use the rebate. You pay only shipping.

I just got the R280LX with AT&T's Digital advantage plan, with a hands-free earbud and a leather case.
This is the phone: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/wireless/B00004W3I7/102-8012040-2984135

You can find a review of the phone here: http://wireless.cnet.com/cgi/WRPHDetail.asp?zip=&ptable=Wireless_Phones&pid=1000167&did=

The final cost for the phone and the accessories is just shipping after coupon and rebate (the rebate itself comes with the package itself). The plan, while not discounted, is $29.99/month with 250 anytime minutes AND 500 extra night and weekend minutes per month for free, with free voicemail, free pocketnet web access (that doesn't use your airtime minutes), and a bunch of other stuff that's listed at amazon. Not a bad deal and definitely a good phone.

God, this sounds awfully like spam, don't it :D

Phone accessories on Amazon are overpriced. I just brought Nokia hand free ear piece and rapid charger for $1.99 each + shipping.

Freedom Mobile

The quality of ear piece is same as Nokia made. The only down side is their phone battery. Cell made in Japan and case made in China. When you shake the battery, you will hear something is bouncing inside of case.

The Ericsson R280LX is still available for "free" (with new activation on a 1 year AT&T contract) from buy.com, and you still get the $50 rebate.
