Great deal, except I'm really skeptical on getting my money back via rebates on deals like these. If you have money to spare, these deals are great. Then again, people say the same thing about Cyberrebate. :)

Vpham - You're right about Digital Research....now it lists as "IOM Holdings"...only thing I could think of is I/O Magic Corporation...I guess it's possible that they bought up the remaining inventory, but I'm not sure...didn't have time to research it :) I did buy a Digital Research 48x a long time ago cheap after rebate...was manufactured by BTC and is really loud...oh well, I guess since it still works I'm happy...

Yeah...cyberrebate probably relies on....

Interest earned while they have your money....
Some people don't send in rebate...
Some people incorrectly send in rebate...
Some people don't follow up on rebate status...


I bet cyberrebate pays out around 3/5 of the rebates (see above list)...including "free" stuff.


They're making money....don't worry they are....

My ad says they're 12x Memorex CD-Rs... picture shows 8x though. :confused: $18 before rebateS. :disgust:

That's a good question RossMAN...I've used a few of the Memorex CDR's, I haven't had a problem in my Iomega 12x4x32, but I would think they would be ok on a Plextor too *shrug*

Right now on the site I only see a 10 pack that that is either 12x and one that is 16x...I don't see a 50 for 12x....but the descriptions might be wrong, will keep looking

I would rather have the 50 pack CD-Rs as 700MB but you can't really argue for just $4.99 after rebate.

Very good deal, plus I heard that Plextor will still burn great even on POS CD-Rs.

Digital Research is closed down. There parts were fairly much crap, my 19" monitor broke twice in 2 years, (they have it currently) and we're currently trying to get it back so that crediut card insurance can deal with it, but are having a difficult time/

Mag used to make the monitors for Digital Research.

I have the 40x DR CD-Rom
I got the Rebate from them a long time ago. But the damn thing was loud, slow, and now it is broken. I have the rma# but i am too lazy to send it out.

Can anyone confirm the:

Fry's 4MB PCI graphics card? I called the one in Palo Alto up and they told me that it was an AGP card.
