Just found this while surfin, WWW.Z-BUY.COM has 256MB Micron PC133 -7.5 cas3 memory sticks on sale for just $80 with Free 3-day Fedex shipping. Very good deal if you ask me, especially considering it's micron, not that crappy SyncMax stuff, yuck....
I'm not sure how this site is rated though, that's up to you, just thought i'd let you guys know about it. :)

That particular seller appears to have really bad ratings. :( But a good deal if they come through. ;)

It's a decent deal for all the people who were too late on the Crucial deals...

I had a good experience with Z-Buy, but I think I found a site that can beat that price. Lemme see if I can find it.

Nevermind :)

Too late on the Crucial deals? The deal is still going...well, except for the free shipping, but it's only 5.50.

In my experience Z-buys 'free' shipping isn't worth the hassle at ALL. It doesn't matter how fast Fedex can get it to me if the company I'm buying from takes a week to give it to them... Cancelled with them after 8 days, ordered through mwave and had my Plextor drives shipped that NEXT day... Anyway though, just thought I'd throw out some food for thought ;)

I believe the prices were also sent higher in the crucial deal besides the end of free shipping. We're talking almost $100 after shipping and tax for the same 256MB, CL3 RAM as opposed to $80.

Of course, Crucial is VERY reliable and so far, there've been more bad than good opinions about Z-buys.

well, I call them and cancel the order because I haven't heard anything from them 10 days after I placed the order, and then they shipped it.

piss me the f*ck off.

I will never deal with them.

you can still do a staples pm on the crucial deal. If you're lucky, they'll follow you through the webprom link, match 2 of the 256mb cas3 sticks @84.99 each (don't mention the free shipping is over with), then you can use a $30 off $150 coupon. Total ~$148. including 6% sales tax and free shipping. sometimes they won't match the webpromo and it's 5% higher, but the crucial is micron chips, micron pcb's and micron assembled.

hmmm, just this weekend at a marketpro show, I bought a 256mb NEC CL2 stick for $75 !!! and also a 256mb Micron CL2 stick for $75!!.... idiot was giving me CL2 for the price of CL3... was too funny... he'd test it right in front of me and say: "see, it's 256mb..."... i'd wait for the nxt screen on the tester LED and it read CL2 for each of my sticks while it only read CL3 on the ones he put back in the case..
and oh yeah, both are 7.5ns...

woohoo! 512mb CL2 for $150!

gotta love idiot salesmen...

Not necessarily. We're talking Micron chips "on thirds" (3rd party OEM) modules vs. modules actually produced by Crucial, a division of Micron.
