It is not sold online so I think it can be found at B&M only.

It is a WinTV Model 401 so it has almost everything. Radio, s-video in, remote control etc etc.

$50 at Officemax

-$20 mail in rebate (from Hauppauge website).

Final cost: $30 + Tax.

officemax.com has WinTV GO Item # 14258108, $49.99 - 10MIR. I think i saw the GO version some time ago at B&M before.
But no sure if they carry 401 or not.

BTW, hauppauge said its dbx-stereo, so i guess it use the 878A chip.

found the rebate on Haupages site but finding it at officemax for $50 for the 401 is going to be tuff...

OfficeMax has the 190 Model and the rebate is for 401 Model.... So you cant send in the rebate from the Hauppauge website..

Yep, I believe you are right. Just got off the phone with the OM store guy. He says they don't sell the 401 card and none of the other stores, at least in NC do either. OM had the 190 card without radio for $39 with a $10 MIR last week, I think.

Anybody had luck scoring a 401?

Hmm...I got the model 401 a few years ago retail from CompUSA. It had no remote or radio.

my 401 came with remote and fm... the wintv go models don't ahve that...

The 401 is a great card. Later models came with free remotes. Works under Linux too!
Anyway, if any of you are able to get a 401 at OM for $50 with a $20 rebate for a final price of $30,
that's pretty HOT IMHO. They sell USED on ebay for around $50+.

The 401's are $49.00 clearance I can confirm ... stock will vary but there are plenty out there. Combine that with the $10 off $50 coupon that just came out .... sweet deal.

I'm at home so can't say for anywhere else but the district around me has 40 of them floating around ..... well 39 now

Hi,

Just got one model 401. $49.00+somthing $1.00 more - $10 of $50 - $20.00 rebate = $20.00. HOT???
The card is quiet old, it said under the box 1998 and support Win95/98.
Oh, it does not have remote in the box but has sticker to mail and get it later by mail.
I wish this card should work fine with 2000/XP. The Hauppauge website has all software support for 95/98/Me/2000/XP.
There are a lot of them in the that I bought, my town, South Miami, FL. They put them in the CLEARANCE section.





A question?, On the card it said NTSC. Would the card work with PAL?
Anyone has this card, please share with us.

.............there are updated apps at the Hauppauge site
which may help resolve your problem with recording. LOL

anyone ever get the FM Radio to work? it seems like it requires another coaxial cable input, but i've never seen such an input for a radio...

radio works fine for me. i've used it with the included ribbon-style antenna and with a tv antenna.

The link provided above by Isman may be wholly misleading.
Searching out a full copy of this rebate discloses references
to a version of the 401 tailored for XP---for which this rebate
appears to also be tailored.---box cover pic of a surfer.
Those who were able to get this ver. for 49.00 should do okay
on the rebate---otherwise seems doubtful
Hope I'm wrong--no surfer or mention of XP on the box
in front of me.....LOL
