For those of you still interested in this game, Target B&M has Half Life: Platinum Edition on clearance for a mere $6.58+tax. Since it's a clearance item, I guess it's a YMMV deal. Picked up the last copy at my local Target.

Note: this is for the FIRST Platinum Edition, not the Second Edition that also includes Blue Shift.

This rocks!...except that I have the whole collection already...
There are two platinum editions I believe, one with Blue Shift and one without. Do you know which one this is?

It's the first edition, which does NOT include Blue Shift.

Can you play that with a friend if they get it, and have internet?

You, know host a game and play cooperatively.

yes you can host a game, tell your friends the ip address, and they can all log into your game and play together. basically all the hosted ip games you can connect to belong to someone's personal computer or server. it's not like valve has a collective server that everyone logs onto (like battle.net for warcraft/diablo/starcraft). well, they sorta do now with the new steam system, but that's still in beta.

Just stop by anyway. Maybe you'll find other deals that interest you.

I read about this in my original Quake manual. They said you shouldn't "intense" 3d games if you experience this; just like the epileptics.

HA HA! :D

Perhaps when playing CS, you enter a dangerous mind-set where you really think that you are "out to kill" and reality doesn't disorient you in the game anymore. Scary.

Half-Life is a great engine for playing Day of Defeat; the modded version of Team Fortress Classic. If you never have played it before, Get It!

Are you saying Day of Defeat is a modded TFC? Cause it's not...

Most probably just a minor case of motion sickness. It may not happen in CS because you spend some time runnning in a staright line.

It happens to me on occasion, usually after a big firefight when you are whipping the mouse back and forth trying to get all the bad guys.

Might try taking a light dose of motion sickness pills before you play, see if that helps.
