I love my Shark, too. I like the honeycomb side panel design. It allows you to have any side fan setup you want, just line up the holes and pop in a couple plastic fan rivets. The only downside is dust, but I don't have much of a problem with that.

I love this case. I am a very proud owner. I just wish that there was something positive about the 3D Galaxy becuase from what I am hearing, this is the second time I heard that the 3D Galaxy cracks up.

depends on what you want to do. The stacker 830 I believe is for performance air cooling. P180 is for medium between air cooling and silence. 3D Aurora is for water-cooling. Or you could use it for now and when you get enough money water cool.

why are u running that nice system off of an aspire psu? Personally I would change that out. But nice system, I wish I could afford it lol

It's 550 watts and the rail voltages have been rock stable so far.

The reviews I read prior to purchase tested it to 5% tolerance on all the rails. My Asus PC Probe validates those tests. The fact that I've had no performance issues thus far just doesn't make me wanna bust out my Fluke and measure it.

I think it's a very nice case. Lots of awesome features for the extreme air or water cooler, looks aren't too overboard, and it's cheap with good build quality. Only thing is that I don't like the LED fans but those can be easily switched.

I won't be doing water cooling, but isn't this case still good for air cooling anyway? I have heard some people with antec P180's still having cooling issues. This case is MUCH more open in the inside, so I am wondering if I should go with the gigabyte despite the fact I won't be water cooling. Also, if I got this case with the mesh side panel, I could probably throw another fan on that to bring more air in from the outside as well.

Basically, which would be better for air cooling, P180 or 3d Aurora?

Thoughts?

Well it has lots of nice features for sure, and it seems to be pretty versatile, but man it looks like utter crap. It looks like there's about 3-4 different styling approaches to it and they all clash. If you can get past the looks of it I'm sure it's a great case.

It's ugly and it'll be loud.

But it's also got lots and lots of room to play in and with a bit of love, care and modding the potential to be rather impressive.

I am really starting to think this will be the case I get. However, would it be better for airflow to get the side window panel or just stick with the mesh screen? I figure with the mesh side panel you can throw another intake fan wherever you want, while the side window would give you uninterupted front -> back airflow. What do you guys think?

My system will include (most likley, although it changes daily):

Gigabyte 3D Aurora Case
ASUS A8N32-SLI
OCZ Powerstream 520W PSU
2x1GB OCZ Platinum Memory
74 GB Raptor drive for OS/software
300GB SATA II Seagate HDD for storage

Still debating:
Opteron 170 or 4400+ X2 as the processor
7900GTX or X1900XTX or just GT/XT

I think this case will suit me well.

I was really hiped about this case till I saw it doesn't come with the option of a solid side pannel. I want a solid side pannel on both sides so I can cut my own blow hole where I want it. No extra holes to let dust in, no window that gets scratched up from normal use and is a pain to cut. I just want two solid non-holely sides PEASEES!!

I for one, cannot wait to get my hands on this case. I will let you all know what I think when I finally build my machine in a month or so.

I just recently purchased this case. I was very supprised when the FEDEX truck had it on a dolly with all my other stuff. Its ALOT bigger then i thougth and of course from what i had it is like comparing an apple to a house. (hehe) I have 1 optical drive and 5 hdds in it right now and its running fine. My big issues was that the front intake is supposed to blow over the hdds to cool them. That works fine in theory but my to 7800GT's in SLI are blowing the other direction which is blowing hot air on to my hdds. The other complaint I have on it is i purchased the Danger Den Black Ice Extream II, which will not fit on the inside of the case due to my power supply and I have not found a way to make it fit so it is on the out side of the case. Not a big deal for me but mounting the fans and the Rad was fun for a NOOB to WC. PM me for help if you don't mind. ;) Other then that I have no complaints nice strong front door, drive bays are nice tool less installition for both sizes. This is the best case I could ask for and almost exactly what I was looking for. I too was looking at the P180 or this and I am very happy with my decision.

saw this case in person again today. It is beautiful. Anyway, I still don't know whether to get the mesh side panel version, or the side window version. I don't really care about seeing inside, my main concern is the overall airflow of the case. Would the mesh side panel disrupt the front to back movement of air through the case?

One benefit about the mesh is that I could easily throw another intake fan on the side panel to bring in outside air right down onto the processor, while the side window would be more difficult to add the fan too.

Thoughts on this? Also, I can get the one with the mesh sidepanel locally for 149, so I wouldn't have to worry about damage during shipping.

Let me know what you think. The one with the side window as opposed to the mesh is $10 more on newegg. Thanks in advance.

What's the difference between the 139 and 149 versions on Newegg?

one has a mesh side panel, the other, more expensive one, has a side window.
