anything like this every happen for tmobile? 🙁

A while back, at the end of my contract, I drowned a 3650> So I called to close my account so i can buy another phone from amazon, the CSR mentioned that there was an internet deal for a moto v300 for the price of an activation fee. I'd check up on T-mobile.com for any internet deals, esp if you're yearly contract is over and you are on month-to-month w/ them.

the topic started friday. it disappeared from the website saturday when i went to talk to at&t wireless ppl at their store, and i couldn't find the deal... so sad......

I talked with a Customer Service Person after 1 of my 2 phone orders had been cancelled. On Saturday the deal had changed to the phone being $199 after rebates. He was able to see from my other order that I did get it for free. He had no idea why one of mine had been cancelled. He went ahead and processed my other order, although now I have a $50 MIR vs just outright free and I should have my phones this week. He also changed my plans around some and saved me $10 / month and gave me some additional anytime minutes!!!!! Sweet!

I personally think the totally free after rebates was a typo and that is why it was changed the next day. Of course, that is only speculation!

Deal's back on featuring a Motorola V600!!!! Rats! I wish I would have waited 🙁 Got the 6820 but this one has nearly all the same features (minus the keyboard) at half the size.

How did U order both?

I'm on a plan from last year which I just renewed a month or so ago that they no longer have, so it doesn't seem possible for me to extend for one year through the website. I'm going to try calling tomorrow and telling them I just extended my plan and want the V600.

while the 6820 probably ain't popping up again for sometime, i'm going to check this site pretty often. they have made their 2nd "free phones" listing change since Friday when i saw the 6820 for free.. that's a lotta activity

Thanks to the OP! I'd been putting off talking to ATT about some kind of contract renewal incentive and/or shopping other carriers, but this deal fit the bill perfectly. Two 6820 replacements for our T616s arrived today. I was seriously considering keeping the T616s and ebaying these, but the 6820s are SO much better at dealing with dodgy signal strength (common in my neighborhood) that I'm a happy convert.

For anyone considering a 6820, btw, my take on the phone is that it is outstanding for signal/voice/text (especially if you plan to use it for email-length text--the keyboard is fantastic); the physical design and quality/size of the screen, however, are mediocre and a definite step down from the T616. The camera is about the same as the T616, which is to say it's at best a toy, though the fact that it takes postage-stamp size video makes it a slightly more fun toy.

Anyway, hot deal and big thanks to the OP.

cringer:

You mean THIS post?

BTW: I talked to an AT&T rep and he said that their free phone deals are changing all the time and to keep looking at their website for their latest deals.
