Free Microsoft Win2k certification exams. These usually cost $125. Sign up at Prometric or Vue. Remember to apply the coupon code listed below. According to an email:

Exams 76-210 (Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional) and 76-215 (Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 Server) will be offered at NO COST to candidates when they register for the exams using the following promotional codes:

Use promo code ICAMWP for the 76-210 exam, and promo code ICAMWS for the 76-215 exam.

The 76-210 and 76-215 exams cover the same content as the standard 70-210 and 70-215 exams, but contain additional questions. Exams 76-210 and 76-215 are each four hours long, and candidates can take these special exams only once. A score report will be provided for both these exams and, if candidates pass, the exams will fully count toward Microsoft certification status.

These exams are available for a limited period of time and available to a limited number of participants so schedule your exam today!

Exam 76-210 will be available May 12 - 28. The 76-215 exam will be available May 12 - June 2.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I haven't taken any of my exams yet because I didn't have the money to fork out, but I will definately get off my lazy @$$ and finally take these if they're free!

Time to study like a mad man! 😛

You selected the wrong test. You must select the test that starts with "076" rather than "070". Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list of tests.
 
I think I'm trying to kill myself. I've got the Server 2003 3 day boot camp on May 27,28, and 29 and I've scheduled the 2000 server and workstation tests for may 27 and may 28 respectively. Not much choice, I'm gonna have to slog through it.

The weekend following this mess I'm heading into Mexico for the Baja 500 race, that'll be some nice relaxing time.

How much does the bootcamp thing cost?
 
Does anyone know of some books they recommend for these two tests?? I search Amazon real quick but the test numbers didn't pull up anything, I'll try the 070 numbers next.

Also, I recieved an email from Microsoft with a discount link to Amazon for Microsoft tech books, I deleted the email, does anyone have the link?? Thanks

I bought the tranning kit back in 2000, it is now time to take them out and study my butt off on it kekekek.

the bootcamp was free, I recieved an email from Microsoft with a link. The classes were mostly full, too full to post on Anandtech at the time. I just snuck in.
 
I took 70-210 before I was really ready for it and I've been procrastinating too long on retaking it - free is enough to motivate me 🙂. This is HOT HOT HOT! 🙂
 
Don't think I have time in the next week and a half to stufy for this exam. Been meaning to do this thought. Anybody get dates past May?
