They used to play Washington DC every July 4 for free.
600,000+ attended.
Then they stopped (replaced by the Guess Who).

I was at several of thos concerts in the early/mid 80's in washington. It was an all day event with several bands. One of the reasons it ended was the cost of cleaning up after half a million very drunk people got to be too much. I did have a good time according to the pictures, but I don't remember most of it.

I don't really care too much for the Beach Boys, but I've caught them live a few times over the years and every time they have put on an excellent show. Plus Niagara Falls is a great place.

I am a huge Brian Wilson fan....his current band is awesome, and is making good new music. The Mike Love version of the BB's, is a nostalgia trip. There is also a "3rd" band touring...Al Jardine's Beach Boys friends and family (or something like that) which also
occasionally has Carnie Wilson singing with them...

Yes, I know wayyyyyy too much about the beach boys.

And if this was happening in my area, and it was free, I would go. So yes it
is a Hot Deal..
