I'm going to assume that most schools/teacher's unions have a policy which calls for the mandatory firing of any personnel convicted of sex offenses against children.

Not really. If it was a male teacher and female students, no one would ask if it was too harsh. He'd be lucky if one of the fathers didn't kill him.

If people want gender equality, then they should get it in every aspect. Seeing most of them got a slap on the wrist, compared to what a male teacher would get in the same instance, it's no surprise teacher/student child molestation is an epidemic.

Hot or not, these teachers are child rapists.

Puts on flame suit for defending the law and kids.

I live very near Gainesville. I actually met the kid when I was serving meals at the juvenile detention center.
 
I'm seeing a trend where the more attractive teachers get more lenient sentences. I guess it makes sense, as you would assume a hotter teacher wouldn't have to try too hard to get a 14 year old boy to sleep with her, as 14 year old boys are always walking around with constant hard-ons.

I went to a small rural high school, and stuff like this happened frequently, at least once a year that I heard about, I can only imagine the ones that I didn't hear about.

I don't know what the fuss is about, most boys would do anything to get wild with their female teachers. Heck when I was in High School I would kill to do my English teacher and as far as I knew every other living being with a dick in that school. The sweet thing about it is that there would be no legal consequences about it over there, people would be like "Man he must have had some brass balls for that fox to do him" and I wouldn't have been surprised if the mayor handed me the city key and threw in some fireworks too! I would be like "It's one small hump for sam, one big hump for male kind" 😛

IIRC (I was hired some eight months ago), you can't get any school-related job anywhere in the US if you have any kind of background in that. In any case, them losing their job is a given in a situation like this.

heh, same. Although I never met them. I don't think shes actually a teacher, if she was theres no mention of it in any news story. The Gainesville times conveniently does not have the story on record anymore.



And if your wondering about the loophole. It's legal to marry at age 16, but not at 15 unless the other is pregnant and then they can marry. However he can't consent to sex at 15 and thus why she got charged. If they had just waited until he was 16 then it's likely she may not have ended up in the registry.

 
What usually happens is more the other kids turn people in or they double dip and get in a love triangle with teenagers.

That guy from Florida had just that happen. Got one girl pregnant for the second time and everything was cool until she saw texts coming in from another classmate he was banging.

It is kind of odd how the teachers get such small sentences (except for the old one who threw parties - 30 years), while men would get 10 years minimum and would have to deal with the angry parents and attend classes. But seriously, wtf is wrong with the kids? How do they talk when they get # 5/7?
