There are some (over 700) 3com officeconnect cable modems on ubid right now that are selling for 41. ...and no I am not a F*$@$# trying to fluff an auction. The only thing is that 3com discontinued all their cable modems so beware of no support if you buy one. ...or just wait till the end of Feb when @home cuts off service to millions. THen you will be able to pick up a used one anywhere for cheap.

out of curiousity, were you charged a provisioning fee to use you own modem and reduce the monthly bill by $10?
i remember someone mentioning in DSLR forums that they provisioned their own modem thru a website, and attbi wouldnt do the $10 reduction until they charged the guy some amount, even though it was already provisioned and working.

I installed this modem and it's working great with ATTBI in the Chicago area. However, I misplaced the rebate form and can't find it anywhere. Can someone post a link to it, or a scan if possible?

You'll find the rebate here but I think you have missed the date to send it in, it had to be postmarked by 01/15/02.
