filled up with 89 octane yesterday at my local kroger center for $1.24 p/g after using the kroger plus card.... 87 octane would be $1.16 p/g.

all the publicity about price increases for gas...but i have heard nothing as to why they price has gone down to were it should be and was a couple years ago...

go fill your car up!

thoughts?

I'm in southern Indiana btw, across the river in Louisville its a nickel or dime higher...

Been $1.07 for 1.5 weeks in Lexington, KY (87 octane). Supplies of crude as well as refined gasoline are up, coupled with a demand drop for the first time in about 8 years. Add the 1 million extra barrels of oil from Iraq, who started shipping again, and you've got a price drop.

Hot deal for all consumers.

$1.46 for 87 octane is cheapest here. Though except for groceries, things tend to be cheaper in Southern Indiana than in upstate NY.

sweet for you... just three weeks ago I remember shelling out $1.79/g for 89 octane

It was around $1.60/gallon for 87 when I filled up here in Central Massachusetts the other day.

That's down about 15 cents from a couple weeks ago. I was pretty happy myself.

uhh here in california it is like $1.85 per gallon in southern cali and over $2 per gallon in northern

$1.55 in NJ, down from $1.70 a week ago.

Why is it every gas station has a different price, even when you have 2 exxons across the street from each other, the prices are different.

I think gas should be one price countrywide 🙂

you wanna pay like we have to here in the UK

£3.90 per gallon or 77.9 pence per litre thats like 6.5 bucks per gallon then you have something to moan about !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1.63 for 87 in pdx, and that was the low price where you have to fight accross three lanes of trafrfic on hwy 99 at 217 in tigard. (Texaco)

but what's really going on?
why is the u.s. enslaved by their use of fossil fuels?
i walk when possible, plus i own a standard shifting civic
it was really all an experiment anyway--all these people buying up suv like it's no tomorrow and then having the gall to spend 90% of the time driving only themselves--what a waste! the powers that oil said "oh yawl like this oil huh? we gone see how much yawl like this oil!" and jacked the price up. we just gave them millions of dollars' worth of market research *mad face-noriaki i have to go find your reply*

california gas is different from kentucky, texas, or new york gas. its not a fake shortage, cali gas is refined from alaska oil, which hasn't increased in production. plus cali has higher taxes than anywhere else in the US.
