I realize that I am a newbie on this site, but aren't buyxtremegear posts banned because they're so bad (disreputable) and they were posting deals themselves...?
This would be good for a pricematch with Chase LPG though...

Buyxtremegear deals posted by new members were banned because they were promoting themselves which is a no-no here. It's ok for someone who has been around here for a while to post a deal if they think it is a good one.

O sweet, gameve is pretty reliable, got my GFti4200 from them. Um, still though even though it is a hot price I'd rather upgrade my processor and motherboard to something better before a new graphic card. Also a lack of cash/money. :(
Always am. Now Intel or AMD lol. I like AMD a lot better, but if I can score a cheap Intel with hyperthreading w/ 800mhz bus then I would get that. Maybe in half a year I will upgrade.

I empathize with some of you about the price of video cards. Compared to a month ago, this video card is now $150 cheaper. Yet, it's still more expensive than most CPU/mobo combos (at least for AMD processors). You can score almost 3 Barton 2500+ for the price of this FX 5900. Kinda makes me sick thinking about it. :disgust:

Well I actually had a pretty crappy experience with GameVE...I RMAed a video card and although they did send a replacement, even though I sent back the driver CD, and the PowerDVD CD, plus the accessories, they sent me back JUST THE CARD. Even said CARD ONLY on the receipt even though I had RMAed everything. I called up to complain and some dude said he'd see what they could do but they did JACK SQUAT. I hope they rot in hell.

nahh the accessories are pretty important... like the DVI - VGA adapter... and the VIVO cables... you'd have to pay quite a bit to buy those back...
It was very wrong for gameve to just ignore him.....
though he deserves it now for spamming :D

Consider the fact that the gainward and abit 5900s will plainly smoke this one when overclocking... Because they use non-reference cooling. I won't buy a 5900 w/ ref cooling, unless maybe it's an Ultra... Although gainward mods even their ultra a little bit.
