HOT!! Envision 15"LCD for 150 No rebates or PM

Well this is my first deal and I couldn't find any other mentions of it.
I was at staples today and they have on clearence Envision 15" lcds model 5100e for 179.99. I used a 30 off 150 coupon to make it 149.99. this is about the best deal i've seen for an lcd in a long time.

they also had an open box one but it looked pretty beat up for 150 so if a store has a good shape open box it might be even hotter

I've been using this model for about a year, and it's been flawless! I'm presently running at 1024x768 32bit at 75Hz refresh rate on a Radeon 8500LE. (Omega 3.2 based driver)

I paid about $300 for the one I have..you got a deal!

Just picked up one of these badboys from the Staples in Lemon Grove (San Diego). If you're in the area, they told me they had 6 more in stock (this was 10am today).

I made the mistake of calling my local staples first.. the guy on the phone said "it's a super deal and I'll check to make sure it's in stock".
Of course he came back and said he had none.

The first store I called said they didn't have any in stock, but I had them check other stores, and the guy told me that one of their stores had 7. I called that store, and confirmed they were there, then went to pick one up. Interestingly enough, when you get there, they have a bulletin board with all their "clearance sale prices" on it. This display had a tag price (even on the clearance board) of $250. So if they're not paying enough attention, it really doesn't look like it's a good deal until they ring it up. Then there's the extra $30 off to boot!

there is 1 freaking staples in IL out of nowhere.. so all the order I make online, they charge me tax

and for the ppl that own this monitor. how is the 30ms response? does it still have ghosting issues with movies and games?

Looks like all the stores in TX are out. However, store #73 in Queens,FL seems to have some left. Big thanks to the manager in the Allen, TX store for searching out-of-state stores, and using every available option to try and get it to TX.

Unfortunately, they don't allow shipping of such an important item over such a long distance...

There are still a few availabe at the Staples in Benton Harbor, MI. I drove the 40 miles from South Bend to nab one. Used a $30 off $150 printable, and picked it up for around $158 after tax. If anything, I'm having to get used to how bright it is compared to my Dell CRT. Wow!
