Just beware, you guys...

I believe this lappy gets only 45 minutes on the battery....

To add insult to injury, a few of posters in the 'chubby-wallet' area have complained of the horrible quality of these machines...

Other than that, it sounds like a kick ass deal.

For $100 or so more, you can get a Dell laptop which has much better quali...urr...never mind. I was thinking of 5+ years ago. :p

More seriously, does anyone know what the video on this is? Is it just the Sis 315 integrated equivalent?
TIA.

About as cheap a notebook you can get, but I don't know if 40 minutes of battery life (80 with an 8 cell battery, but they probably have a 4 cell) is worth it.

Yeah, the HPshopping deals are much better, but if you don't want to mess with rebates and just want something that does word processing and the like it's not bad...... though it would really benefit from having more then 128 megs of ram.

Agreed! If I got this, first thing I'd do is up the RAM to 256 (at the least) or 512 (most likely). WinXP on 128MB RAM is horrible!!

Yeah. My poor dad had a desktop with 128 megs of ram with XP on it. I slapped more ram in their the first chance I got.
