I prefer to rip w/ DVD decrypter, re-author with DVD Shrink using no compression, and finally use InstantCopy to do the re-ecoding. InstantCopy is much slower, but gives much better quality. Yeah, it's a long process, but I'm happy with it 🙂

have you tried the latest shrink with the DEEP ANAYLYSYS mode? to me its just as good as instant copy.... from the 2 or 3 i have compared.... maybe better in some cases...

XCopy is perfect for some people, like my Grandma who justs wants to press one button and it makes the copy. DVDShrink is much better with more choices of what to keep and what to delete, and you can choose your compression level. Still easy, and you drag and drop the files into Nero and you are golden.

Also, let it be known that DVD X Copy doesn't copy all the extras and goodies. All it copies is the movie. This is both good and bad. Obviously, you miss out on all of the extras, which isn't good. However, the good thing is that since it only has the Movie/Audio/Subtitles the movie quality is extremely high. It also embeds a disclaimer about backing up DVDs.

Otherwise looks like a good piece of software.

You really should actually learn about a product before you speak.

DVD X Copycreates a complete duplicate of a 9 to 5. It copies all of the special features, menues, subtites, and languages.

DVD X Copy Xpress copies only the movie (Requires 2 clicks).

Also note that "free" always isn't better. Do it it free, you'll need serveral different programs and It'll take more effort and time.

Additionally noted that the "disclaimer" can be taken out of the movies with IFOEdit in 4 clicks - about 10 seconds of time. I personally use IFOEdit to do this cause it's so simple. Others might not care about the disclaimer.

Current version of DVD X Copy Xpress will copy entire movie plus extras to one DVD. Ver 3.x has checkbox that lets you choose your option. Great program.
