I've been looking at the Canon S-100 Digital Elph Camera for a few weeks now and decided to get one. Heres what you can do:

Call up Staples (price of $499.99 normally) and have them price match www.technetamerica.com for $408 + $25 shipping = $433. Then apply code 11201 for a FREE 100 MG Exteral USB Zip Drive w/ any digital camera purchase over $139.

You can keep the Zip Drive if you want or sell it on 'Bay for around $60 or more. $433 - 60 = $377 or so. The only kicker is that Staples charges tax on the $433 if you live in a state with sales tax.

Then call back a few hours later and add coupon 91214 to your order, for $30 off $200. $377- 30 = $347!

Its a pretty good deal considering these go for around $430 or more on auctions right. If nothing else you get the Zip Drive for close to nothing if you hawk the Camera.

If you want the Kodac DC3200 you can price match it from $189.99 to $160 from PCNomad (which has FREE shipping) and still get the Zip Drive. Selling the Zip Drive gets your cost to around $100.

According to the CSR I could add the $30 off coupon since the entire purchase qualified for both coupons independent of each other, i.e. the $433 camera is over 200 by itself and still over $139 in addition to the $200 for the free zip drive. The initial CSR would not allow me to add the $30 coupon w/ the zip drive.

i haven't been keeping up with the staples deal too much, but i was wondering why do we have to call in later to apply the coupon? why can't we do it with the initial phone call?

If any of you are even remotely considering this camera, BUY IT. I bought mine for full price from Amazon(ok ok sans the $150 MCI thingy) and it's worth every penny and then some. It's so small it borders on absurd.. just a touch bigger than a motorola 2-way pager or a deck of cards. I can stick it in my pocket without worrying about a conspicuous bulge :)

My only gripes are the poor lowlight shots and redeye effect but more than makes up for it with battery life and sheer convenience. Make sure you get an extra CF card though because the hi res shots eat up a ton of room!
