Hot diggity damn.. Anybody see the new Altima Coupe...

I really like it, but I don't think it fits with what I'll need in my next car.

[edit]JC, $5K for leather interior? On a $21K car? Ah, no wait - that includes a convenience package.[/edit]

Looks good, but too much G35 in it, I think. Where's my audi a5? now that's a hawt coupe; granted it's not gonna be 21k by any stretch 😀😀

FWD is just fine for most cars/drivers. I prefer RWD for trucks & sports cars, but for a daily driver car with under 300hp, there's absolutely no reason to care if it's FWD.

As far as I can tell Nissan noticed the G35/G37 was the hottest car in their lineup and decided to make some one-offs to fill the rest of the lineup. I kind of like it even without all the fake lighting and highlights. But it's still a Nissan. The product of a company who designs their door handles not to last 10 years because "who keeps their cars that long?"

Eh? My '95 Buick is cosmetically falling apart (door handles, power windows, locks, etc, etc), but my brother-in-law's '95 Altima GXE is still fully intact. Hmm.

Why'd you want to have a coupe then if its not a sporty car. RWD matters.
FWD is for family sedans and wannabe sport cars.

I have an old 240sx and a G35. So far I have 240k miles on the 240sx and while the body has held up great and absolutely no rust and nothing broken on it, I have replaced a bunch of things under the hood. I guess that can be expected on old cars anyway.
G35 is flawless so far.

I like the Mazda 6 better. The V6 needs about 50-60 more horses though.

Hoping the aftermarker comes through with a super charger next year.

agreed.. specifically the 5 door hatch. I think ~250 at the crank would actually be fine. more than enough for me in that car, considering it's FWD.

but the altima coupe at least looks a hell of a lot better than the new(or old for that matter) accord coupe IMO.

The Accord, yeah, looks like a space ship. Round this, round that. And just like thomsbrain said, the Nissan looks like a Pontiac with a different grill. The back sides of these cars look wider than they need to be and the hoods are slopped like ski hats.

If only Mazda used Fords 3.5L v6 instead of the 3.0L. I think the mazda needs better engine mounts as well because of the torque steer in 2nd and 3rd gear.

This is the last year, but that was one of the cars I looked at before I picked up my Speed6. They are being so heavily discounted you can get an awesome deal, and they are a limited run car, so you don't see eleventy billion of them on the road.

I was looking at a 6S with the V6, but then I drove the Speed, and it was all over..

Even when they redo the 6 with a better engine, it's still going to be FWD IIRC...

The Europe model had AWD option since the 6's introduction. Maybe they'll finally bring it over seas this round?

maybe people just want the looks and not the whole "pure sport cars" experience.

Without the whole 'pure sport cars' experience. Oh you mean to show off. Like, "oooh look at me, I've got this hot sports car that you don't. But you don't know that its FWD so its kind of fake"

People buy into looks and looks alone on cars. Why do think there are so many V6 Mustangs on the road? People want a Mustang but don't want to pay the premium to have a real one.
