<< Also, it's not "$40 for one more act!!", don't forget the masses of new items (runes, jewels, crafted items), the two new character classes, the balances to existing skills (poison isn't COMPLETELY useless for a necro now).
What's the deal with people who play on b.net that don't buy the expansion? Do they just not get to play with people that do have it, since they've done the weapons balancing and made the changes in the stash, etc.?
I see only lovers and haters of D2...I wonder if there are any folks who just play for fun now and then. Wouldn't THAT be odd! >>
I love Diablo 2, it's one of my favorite games of the last 5 years, but I think it's wrong for them to basically put a gun to people's heads and say, "Either you buy this for $35 or you don't play online with people that have it anymore."
When they released Quake 3 Team Arena, they didn't push a wedge between the people who had it and the ones who didn't as far as playing on the stock or usermade levels together. That's what I see this expansion pack as doing, dividing b.net into 2 distinct groups, those with and those without.
Ahh hell, I'll end up buyng it tho. 😛
