Dell has changed the default for "First Hard Drive" from 20GB to 40GB! Hence you are seeing $40 increase in your price. Just change the selection to 20GB for the lower price!

Any one knows how quiet it is?? And is it a P III based processor? I am waiting these inf. . Thanks a lot!!

I heard in the former server deal ($260) the fan is so noisy and just like an open box.

that is a good deal ..

it has the a server works chip set. which requires ecc memory

and it doesn't have an agp slot...

it also has a Integrated ATI-Rage XL controller with 4MB of RAM (not upgradeable)

so don't plan on putting your geforce 4 card in it...

Well most people who want in on this deal aren't looking for a gaming rig, but rather a server that will sit and do its thing. Plus, you're getting a good server board and nice case which you couldn't necessarily get for a little over $300 if you tried it yourself.

Exactly, for this much you could build a nice chunk of a smoking gaming machine.
Servers are entirely different beasts. ;)
A nice deal on a solid setup from a warranty you can count on!

For those looking for info on the coupon it's very close...just RE READ the first POST...

ALL OF IT.

Thanks for clarification Luv2save and thx for the post!

Has the rebate offer been continued through today? I looked through the rebate forms and the last one goes up to 9-12.

Since it's still on the server order page I would say that it is still valid. Has anyone called Dell to confirm though?

Also, don't forget to add a mouse and keyboard as it doesn't seem to increase the price. The best choices would seem to be the Chicony USB Keyboard, 104 Keys, Midnight Gray and the Logitec System Mouse, Midnight Gray.
