Sportmart B&M is having a midnight madness sale tonight from 6 p.m. to midnight.

They are advertising DNR boots with Marker step-in bindings package for $29.99. I am not much of a snowboarder, but these seem like nice boots with an adjustable lining, 3 outside velcroe straps, etc...

I went over lunch to check it out and even the saleman couldn't believe the add said "package" and not "each". I managed to talk him into the sales price now rather than buying for $120 now and returning them tonight for the sale price.

WOW! I just bought a new board, and this would be a prayer for me. NONE in GA, if someone can get a pair for me, I will pay you $50 + shipping, I live in Atlanta. It would be REAL cool and nice if someone could get me a pair. I would be in your debt forever, I also have various new & used hardware I would be willing to trade. PM me if your interested

THANX

Shoe size usually 12, but if they are big, get 11.5

here's the link to the coupon

it's a printable coupon that anyone can use, so I would think it's ok to post the link. I am going to check it out afterwork. There's a Sportmart about 12 miles from my house.

On the subject of Cheapness:

The boots are what have to feel comfortable ALL DAY LONG and the bindings are what you click in and out of 30 times a day (a poorly designed step in binding is very annoying) and what HOLD YOU TO THE BOARD...ie. safety is an issue! Just make sure what you buy is cheap in price only.

EDIT: I also noticed that the boots have velcro straps. those will wear out and you will have loose boots that will ruin your day guaranteed. for young kids or just to find out if snowboarding is for you this setup is fine but NOT if you think you will want to advance past the beginner stage.

also my friends and I are avid snowboarders and have gone through some of this ourselves...i'm not just randomly trash-talking boarding gear.

i've been boarding off and on for 3-4 years and i try to keep up on equipment. i've never heard of these brands and i wouldn't take the chance for sure if i was one of you guys.

just wait till the season is over or even mid summer and the deals will be smoking then too.

definitely worth a look-see after work.

I hope they are not drastically limiting stock on hand.

there will undoubtably be at least one or two boards on super-sale and a slew of others on sale. .... i didn't have any problems finding my size last year....... not the best stuff, but you can't beat an $90 board.... i'll check it out and if they are okay, i'll buy a couple and let you guys know.

Ok I just got back from Sportsmart at McCarthy Ranch in Milpas, CA. There was a limited supply of shoes/binding combos with limited sizes(mostly 7 1/2 and 8 1/2) which was perfect for my girlfriend. As far as snowboards for $79.99 there were quiet a few, a manager told me that all boards with red stickers are 79.99 and there were like 30-40 boards with red stickers. Most of them are Lomars, Vision and Static brands(dont know much about those, but I got my g/f a 143cm Lomar that was made in Austria). As I was looking through the boards, some dewd picked up 4-5 pairs of shoes/bindings. We started talking and apparently he got it for resale(coming to the ebay near you :) and someone at the different store told him that these were not good quality shoes/bindings and that they were like 4-5 years old models... so buyer beware.
Another thing I got is 2 1/2 pound sleeping bag for $7.97.
In any case I got a whole board/shoes/bindings setup for $110, the board looks nice, the bindings fit the shoes, and yet have to find out whether the shoes fit my girlfriend, but in any case, I can always return it.....

hey if we get the boots/bindings/snowboard combo,
do they put the bindings onto the board, or is that something
you can do yourself?
