Well I figured I mine as well give back to the community. BuyExtremeGear.com has the Ideazon Zboard keyboard and additional crossfire gaming keyset for $10+ shipping. This is the lowest price on the net as far as I could find and even though the description says that the base unit and crossfire keyset are included, you also get the basic windows keyset too. This is the board that fits the new DOOM 3 keysets that have been offered at Bestbuy this week.

Zboard

I bought and received the kit and my first impression it that it is not the best keyboard. The gaming keyset is really great and intuitive, as long as you don't try to type while gaming.

here is a review.

There has been a new release of the ZBoard and the one pictured is the older model. The new one has red colored direction buttons and a couple other changes.

Tom's Hardware has a review of gaming keyboards, including the ZBoard, here:

Gaming Keyboard Review

I think if you are happy using a regular keyboard for games then don't worry about it..unless you have the spare 20 bucks or so to get one of these.

I saw this hidden on the shelf at Fry's in Downers Grove last week for $19.99, and almost bought it for my son to use. It specifically states on the box to be used for Doom 3.....

How can you tell? I just picked up a Zboard at Fry's for $50 and the thing has model number PS2001 / USB001 on the back of it but it has different packaging that that one and has red directional arrows on the game pad.

Somehow I don't think it is a newer model with 001 model numbers listed on it.
