My first hot deal, and I consider this pretty hot since I have looked all over for one of these for a while. Buy.com has these for 299.99 and then use the $30 off coupon usable by everyone, and that brings the price to $269. It is only the 20 hour unit, but in my mind the service alone is worth $200 since that is what Tivo charges.. here is the URL -

http://www.us.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=90043949

Find the coupon from one of the many places to find them.

ReplayTV service is included in the purchase price. Their are no additional fees (besides possible phone charges from the modem use) once the unit is bought.

Yeah this is with the service already. My unit is already on the way. $269 + 14 to ship. I am excited as hell. Now I just wish it hadn't shipped out of LA... ugh. Oh well. Next Tuesday I will be playing with my new toy.

Hope someone else found this informative.

How are you guys using the $30/150 coupon for Buy.com. When I try
to use the link, I get a message about "if you are eligable for
this coupon call Buy.com after you place your order. be prepared
to provide proof you are a business" or something like that...

vladgur,

<< Didnt ReplayTV go under? If so, what service are you to expect? >>

Funny you said that because I had assumed the same thing, boy am I glad that I didn't sell my ReplayTV on FleaBay (thanks to luv2chill). My ReplayTV 30 hour is working just fine and every night it continues to dial up and retrieve the updated listings from my local ReplayTV dialup number.

People who LOVED their ReplayTV's kept telling me, "Ross you WILL watch more TV after using your ReplayTV, letting it do all the work for you." I laughed and thought nothing of it, well I was wrong. It scans ALL my cable channels for certain actors, themes, show titles, keyboards, and it's totally customizable. I love it! Of course there's always the chance that ReplayTV will go banko but then I'll just have a $228 digital VCR :)

ReplayTV was just bought out by SonicBlue (what used to Diamond Multimedia before they spun off their graphics chip business and have started concentrating on multi-media devices like MP3 players and web-tablets and stuff). They will probably be around a while.
