:( I ordered on the 20th... I recieved an e-mail today stating that they couldn't fulfill their backlog with the shipment they recieved on the 23rd, so I am now on backorder :( I called their CSR and was told that there are still 198 on backorder AFTER the shipment on the 23rd. I asked where I was in the queue, she said they don't have that information, but she thought it would go by date the order was placed. She said they have an order into ATI to fulfill the backlog, but she has no information as to when they will recieve the next shipment. She checked through the records, and they recieved around 100 total cards from ATI all month... hopefully they will get bigger shipments :(

I don't get the impression they are trying to stiff us out of the $199 deal. Rather ATI isn't shipping in quantity... 20 here 30 there isn't that much. It looks as if half the dealrs listed on shopper.com selling this are out of stock at the moment, including buy.com.

I hope it ships soon! :)

I have a little info. the page for the discription of this item is no longer up, that's not good. But, if you do a search, you will see that it says they are due on 11/06, that's not that long. Hope so.

I called today, a csr told me they have 2 shipments coming in, 1 on 11/6, 1 on 11/11. He said that those two shipments will cover all the current back orders as long as Ati don't delay the shipments. I'll wait a couple of weeks, hope they get here.

I don't think so. I posted this under another thread, but it appears zones.com is trying to back out of this deal. They told me they have discontinued this item and are cancelling all orders. I sent the following e-mail to their customer service:

Dear Sir or Ms.:

On October 21, I ordered an All-in-Wonder Radeon graphics card from your web site for $199.99, with the understanding that this brand-new ATI product was back ordered. I subsequently received order confirmation e-mails from pczone@mzi.com and from customerservice@mzi.com on October 21, and a third confirmation from customerservice@mzi.com on October 23. Three times mzi.com confirmed this order with me.

On October 23 I noted your web site had posted a new price for this
product--$299.99--so I called Customer Service. Your representative
emphatically assured me my order would be filled and the price at which I
ordered it, honored.

Today I received another e-mail from mzi.com, saying:

"You asked us to let you know when the ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON - Graphic card
had been discontinued. If you're looking interested in the next product
version or a replacement solution, please visit us online at MacZone.com."

Concerned, I called Customer Service again this evening, and your
representative told me the All-in-Wonder Radeon was being removed from your
web site and all orders cancelled. She further advised me to buy this item
elsewhere.

Needless to say, I am not very happy with zones.com right now. Your position has reversed from confirmations and assurances, to "go elsewhere." I hope and expect that zones.com will honor the order it took from me, or I will indeed "go elsewhere" for this and all future purchases.

Thank you for your prompt attention this troubling matter.

Wow, that is extremely poor of them. "Go elsewhere"? Indeed. Take this as a hint, and "go elsewhere". I can't believe they said that!

More news: shortly after I sent that e-mail to mzi.com (a/k/a zones.com) last evening, I received yet another "Order Confirmation" e-mail from them. Ironically titled, though--in fact, this message indicated a change in my order status from "P" (In Process, in their first e-mail), from "B" (Back Order, in the second e-mail), to "C" (Cancelled). Oh well...

But it seems my e-mail to Customer Service, in response to their "product has been discontinued" message, was met with concern and attention. I got a call from someone (whose call-back number, oddly, was in their Technical Support department) who asked me to forward him that message so that his manager could see it and trace how it got out. Apparently several other people have complained of getting similar mesages. He further told me that the CSR whom I spoke with last night, the one who told me to "go elsewhere," apparently was the one who cancelled my order (as a result of which got that latest "Order Confirmation" message).

This gentleman assured me that all orders taken for the AIW Radeon card, even at $200, will be honored. They are expecting shipments from ATI on Nov. 6 and 15, in quantities sufficient (about 300) to cover the entire back-order queue (about 250). He noted that their cost for this product is about $250, but they will absorb the loss for the $200 orders. He reinstated my order at the previous price.

It is worth noting that the AIW Radeon does not appear on the web site today.

Here is the latest message in my email. I say give these guys the benefit of the doubt that they are trying to do their best to make good and save the angst for that teen age girl who dumped us many moons ago.

-glenn

Dear Customer,

Theres a due date of 11/6/00 but we are only getting 25 in stock, our next due date is 11/15/00 and we should be getting 300 of them which it will fill all the current backorders. We did list have the price of 199 on our website in error, if you clear your cache and find that item again you will see that we have fixed our error and now its listed price is 299 but we are still honoring the 199 price to our customers. If you have any questions or problems just feel free to email me back. Thanks!!

Weird, my account says shipped=0 but shipped date=10/24/00. Oh well, good to hear about the news, but if there price is about $250 at regular dealer cost, I think and hope that the price would go down with a order of 300, way more than they would have predicted to sell.

Because they did have some came in on 10/23. But only a few, and covered the ones who ordered the earliest. So the ones who first ordered it got lucky. I hope the shipment on 11/6 will cover mine.

Just got a email from Zones saying that my $199 AIW radeon was just shipped. So they are getting those instock now, much earlier than I thought it would be. Because they told me they won't have another one in until next monday. Those who ordered it, check you email.

Oops, when did you place your order? I ordered on 21 Oct and still no word from Zones, so I called today to check on delivery status and the rep said they were exspecting a shipment in on 6 Nov and she couldn't tell me where I was in the pecking order.

I placed my order on Oct 22. I believe since you placed yours before mine, yours should also be shipped. Maybe they just didn't send you an email. Most likely yours will be shipped before Nov 6, otherwise they promise you would get yours shipped by Nov. 15 (covers all backorders).

Ordered mine on the 21st also and have not gotten an e-mail yet, my account info has not changed and still shows items shipped = 0. That doesn't seem right...

I ordered on Oct 20th... and mine hasn't shipped yet... I guess they aren't shipping by the date order was recieved :( bastards! They had assured me they would ship no later than the 6th ("all back orderes fulfilled"), now they are saying the 15th????

Also, they are offering free shipping at the moment. If it wasn't such a good deal to begin with... I'd call and complain until I got that too! :)

Excellent! Just checked their site and I have a tracking number through Airborne Express. Can't wait to see it at the door.

Thank you guys!

btw, I placed the order for one card on Oct. 21th.

Got mine yesterday!!!! Installed it last night..had some problems with the drives but finally got things squared away in WinME. Win2K also gave me some problems but finally got the drivers to install but the TV Tuner doesn't work (oh..the joy of new hardware :)).

Anyway, I was probably one of the last one to order the card (23 Oct 00). The price had already changed on the web site but when I put it in my basket it still showed the old price of 199.99 so I decided to get it. I also payed the extra 3 bucks and ordered it 2 day delivery. Big surprise when I came home from work yesterday.

Looks like pczone will come through for everyone...I take back all the bad things i said about them.

Even though I called and spoke to a rep yesterday who couldn't tell me when I could expect my order from 21 Oct to be filled, I decided to send an email requesting the status of my order. Low and behold this morning I also received an Airborne Express order tracking number. You know what they say-"The squeaky wheel gets the grease"!:D

Got my shipping info late last night, they must be up all night, my email was sent like 2 or 3 am their time. I paid extra for 3 day mail and it says Airborne 2 day. PCZone sure did come through on this one, most of their prices are pretty expensive from looking them over, but you can't say a bad word about them sticking to their order. Great work...
