Go here: http://dreamhost.com/ Once you have done that click on the "Happy New Year!" picture that has the little girl on it. Then click on sign up now which is next to One-year-payment and under the level one column. Once you've done that fill in all of the information needed. Once you come to the payment page it should say total: 119.99 or something like that and "promotion code" with an empty box underneath. Input this promotion code: 777. Once you've done this the price should go down to 9.24 and it will be how much you will pay for a whole year! You will get 800MB storage and 120GB bandwidth/month, enjoy!

By the way, I have not personally tried this... Please post up if it works.. Someone gave me this info earlier today.. And I have no affiliation with this site.
 
i have this right now for my site (www.zachnagle.com theres nothing there now really) and yes i only payed 9.24 and it expires in september, then theyll charge me $70 or somthing for the next year if i dont turn off auto-renewing. But its true, 9.24 for a year with 800MB storage and 120GB bandwidth a month. One thing that i didnt notice (because this is my first host) but that others may not like is that they dont use cPanel, unlike nearly every other host I hear.
 
never heard of this company. are there any ratings for it? i tried to checkout with 9.24 but all i could pay for was by credit card. they accept paypal and/or checks but i wasn't able to load the page with those options with the discount. without the discount, the options reappeared. odd. anyways if they are going to charge $70 the next year, i might as well find a solid host.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me which panel they use as long as they have one with all the features as they're all generally pretty easy to use..

Looks pretty good to me.

Also I read they allow shell access with C/C++ compilers which is quite nice for only $9.24 a year.
Most hosts restrict you so much they don't allow you to have ssh access.. so this is a nice deal
