Hot Deal on Case Window Kit - $10.95

At Arena Computers, you can get the round or oval smoked windows for $10 plus shipping, or the server window (large L shape) for $18.50 plus shipping. I just put one of their oval windows in a mini-tower case of mine. Tight fit, but it looks good, not that I've painted the case green. Just follow the link, click on E-Store, and click on the specials link near the top of the page.

WOW! Their prices are pretty good... $6 for a window applique that costs more than $12 at most other places...

6.5/7.0 on resellerratings.... oh baby, where have you been all my life??

Arena Computers looks like a great resource. Snagged 9 of the appliques on sale for $6.00 a throw.
Shipping to CA was not too bad: $7.52.
Thanks for the info and the original post.

using a dremel and cutoff wheels are the most accessible way. unless, of course, your roommate has a laser cutter at his work like me =)

Damn I remember when these Window Kits cost $40.00! I might have to snag me another one for my other PC. I wish the neon lights came down in prices as well!!! 😉

If you order from Cyberguys.com check both USPS Priority and UPS ground shipping to find the lowest shipping cost. I think Priority would be cheaper if you're ording just the case window kit. They also have a "nibbler" tool to cut out the hole.

How come everytime I clicked the link to Arena comp, I get message that my Explorer has performed an illegal operation? Then I can't do anything else and need to restart!!! Argggh, help!!

This looks like a good deal. I've been looking for a cheap place to order this from. Gonna pick up a neon light too.

anyone know where I can buy a cheap dremel?

Anyone know where to find windows with fan holes? - 120mm preferred... I found some for a good deal a few months ago, but now I can't find that site again.

<< been waiting for an excuse to put a window in my case... wish i could find a L server window for dirt cheap >>

Arena has one for $18.50. Did you not see that? Or are you just wanting it for even less? $18.50 is a darn good price. I'm thinking of getting one for my Inwin Q500, even though I want to sell the case. It's just so fun to put in windows, that I might do the mod before selling the case.

I got mine from So-Trick just last week. Great company to deal with. You can get a window with one 120mm fan hole, or two 92mm fan holes. Look under accessories.

Cyberguys is one of my main suppliers, I personally like them, especially there Customer support. 😀 Just thought Id let ya know.

In regards to cutting the hole, the way that I have done it is to use the window as a template and trace outline on the side cover of the case in the position you want the window. Then use a drill to make a starting hole and cut with a jig saw using a metal cutting blade. Apply cutting oil frequently and use something (such as a picnic table) to support the side cover. You can use masking tape to protect the finish by applying to the jig saw platform which contacts the surface. This worked well for me.

This window kit is from PcMods.com. It is printed with name "PcMods.com Acrylic Window Kit" on the packaging and comes with PcMods.com window installation instructions. The packaging from Cyberguys were perfect with the air bags, ensuring that the window doesn't get cracked while shipping. The stupid thing is I dropped the window while I was unpacking it. As for cutting the hole on the case panel, I suggest some sort of electric tool like a dremel as the nibbler tool that I brought from CyberGuys seems like cutting cardboard paper with those small child proof sissors that they give kindergarten kids for arts and craft.
