<< This is a great value for someone who is looking for a recreational bike, however it's not the bike for serious mountain bikers, as components are not of the highest quality. >>

So does it really worth the price?

Yeah, I guess it's worth the price.

However, "Mountain Bike" should not be used to describe it. This thing will probably fall apart the second it is taken off road.

I just bought this. I had a 10.00 GC I didn't know what to do with so this bike was 33.99 shipped (53.99-10-10=33.99). Not expecting much but 33.99 with free shipping and no tax was a good deal. Probably the junkiest bike at Target is still 60-70 with tax. We'll see. Thanks for the post.

By the way the shipping would have been 41.39, so the shipping cost is probably similar for other bicycles. Something to keep in mind if you're ordering one without free shipping.

If you are buying this for your kids, and you like them, then don't buy it. It will most likely fall apart and be semi-dangerous.... If you don't like your kids..... well buy it!

Not too many mountains around campus. Thanks for the deal, maybe I can start riding to class since the weather will be getting better. As far as component quality is concerned, I doubt that the failure time on these parts is as short as would be assumed for the price. Happy riding, any deals on a helmet?

oh...man I thought this was serious mountain bike..... 🙁 darn.....
I guess now I have to by 20 of these inorder to replace my Cannodale🙂

haha, how true!!!

<<10 - 16 years>> that's fine with me I stopped growing ever since I was 16 j/k

here's another one Link it's 20 dollars more but it's got a dual susension

I'm buying it to ride to around campus, for those of you that are doing the same what school are U guys from? UT Austin Here.

Cheap bikes are dangerous...walking is a better alternative. The shipping weight on this bike is 44 pounds, which means the bike itself weighs about 40. Ugh - a decent hardtail weighs about 24. And it probably has wimpy brakes, like almost all cheap bikes have. A dangerous proposition.

Why not just get a Segway for something reasonable like this:

Linky

Better yet try a Megway like this:

Megway

Of course you almost have to get the Mop and broom attachments on your Megway, LOL.

I love that site.

Yeah, I hear there are *thousands* of kids killed every year from buying cheap bikes!!!!

But what about cheap shoes? Equally bad. The laces could go at any moment.

You can't win. You're best off staying home browsing Hot Deals all day.

thanks. just ordered one, used a $10 gc from the Freshwater Software trial with the $10 off coupon, got the bike for $34 shipped!

remember guys... this is only 24", probably too small for most ppl. Buy it for your kids.

As for me, the $40 pacific elite 3.1 bike i got at target a 2 months ago was a great deal even tho it weighed a ton (for an aluminum bike.) This bike you may need to assemble yourself too, keep that in mind!
